 | Djahuti (54) 03/29/2006 | An excellent anthology to a vastly underappreciated bluesman.Hopkins playing was subtle and smoothe, the kind of music you might picture being played by an old man on a porch swing on a warm southern night-soulful,playful,deceptively "easy" sounding-but just try to reproduce his sound and feel, note for note-you'll soon see just why he was called "Mojo Hand".

 | AndrewT (15) 03/28/2006 | Hopkins had an unusual guitar style and wrote odd lyrics, but he was a one-of-a-kind bluesman. Pretty much an acquired taste, but a little patience will yield an amazing experience of country blues in a modern setting. This album covers all the bases and is a good way to get into his artistry.
