4.5 The best British singer songwriter I have ever heard, bar none. The title track has some really nice piano, and songs like " Parasite," " Know," " Things Behind the Sun" and the relatively cheery " From the Morning" are top notch. This is a bleak, depressing blend of blues, folk, and singer songwriter material, with a harrowing feel that is spooky in light of Drake's sudden death from an overdose of anti depressants two years after this, his third and final album in 1972. An astonishing recording, mostly just Drake, his mournful vocals, and strong acoustic guitar work. Probably the closest equivalent in white popular music to the one man with just a guitar ambience of the old blues legends. I recommend Drake's entire body of work. Superb.
