I'm not a Destiny's Child fan at all. Their more of a bubblegum R n B group than reputable singers. They can hit some vocals, but all in all I find some of their songs too preachy and at times in your face and sometimes even boring. However, this album was by far the best album they've put out. The first album which was self-titled was just shabby and I found the songs a bit dreary apart from "No, No, No" their first single. The third album was far too commercial and reaked of some truly awful songs like "Independent Woman" and "Survivor". However, this album - their second venture - "Writing's on the Wall" hit all the right songs in all the right places and this was true value for money during a period when this musical genre was basically dying to some serious gimmicks. Who can forget "Get on the Bus", "If you Leave Her" - feat Next, "Say My Name", "Bug-a-Boo" and "So Good".

Crap one word for it

Horrible album. They aren't good singers, and the production sounds just like everything else out there. I wish people would wise up and quit listening to things they only hear on the radio.

The songs on this album hooked me to Destiny's Child. The video for Say My Name is one of the best I have ever seen. Some say I am obsessed, but what guy, if ever given the chance, would not want to get in bed with Beyonce?

THE MUSIC IS NOT THAT GOOD IT STANK!

I like this CD and listen to it almost daily. While DC ain't sayin' nuthin' new with Writing the CD has some great beats with Jumpin' Jumpin' and Bug-A-Boo plus there's also Bills, Bills, Bills and Say My Name. Can't wait for their next album.

I gave the Cd an almost perfect rating and these are the reasons. Reason 1, who told Mathew that it was cool for his daughter to sing all the leads and his other adopted daughter to sing the leftover ones? Don't give me that bs about the LaTavia and Letoya not being able to sing, VIBE magazine might have fell for it, but I didn't-you don't keep someone in a group for ten years and they are "tone deaf" as Beyonce said. Reason 2, how you gonna replace somebody behind they're back and have other chicks singing their songs they co-wrote and rocking their gear they bought?And then how you gonna kick Farrah out and say it's "imaging"-I guess the group's imaging doesn't allow anyone to be prettier than Beyonce-no wonder only the two plain looking chicks with plain names are still in the group! Reason 3, Somebody tell Beyonce it's not even cool to yodel on every track, hog the stage and interviews, all the while not being able to speak or articulate-She is just too damn country-and that's comin from a country girl!P.S.I HOPE AND PRAY THAT SONG SURVIVOR IS NOT MEANT FOR LATAVIA, LETOYA, AND FARRAH BEACUSE KELLY WAS LYING ON HER VERSE-YOU TALKED ABOUT THEM ON THE RADIO, TV, MAGAZINES, TALKED ABOTU THEIR FAMILIES, AND YOU CONSTANTLY JEOPARDIZE YOUR CHRISTIANTY WHEN YOU AND BEYONCE ARE HALF-NAKED AT EVERY APPEARANCE Y'ALL MAKE!

Not quite as good as some r&b, but not all bad either.

"Say my name, say my name"! I love Destinys Child for the simple reason the group does have talent. Their harmonies combine beautifully. For the scrub who said that they weren't capable of writing their own material..."did you know beyonce co-wrote some songs on their new survivor album? did you know she and kelly co-produced many songs on the album? I thought so! Those girls sing from their hearts as well as their diaphrams. "I guarantee if you heard them do their own rendition of the negro spiritual "I've been changed"...which I also sing...you would have my foot in your mouth! Kelly, Beyonce and Michelle have God given gifts of song and not one person around can't say that they're not leaving their mark in the industry. I wish Destinys Child much success and as for the haters..When you find room in your puny little lives to talk down about someone who has more money, more talent and more popularity than you, it just shows lack of intelligence. Plus if you weren;t dissing so much you could probably achieve something meaningful in your life also.

I have went through and read all of the comments, there were some very valid ones. I totally agree, Beyonce gives off some major me, me, me, what about me vibes. She needs to step back and look at herself and her behavior. Because it is so clear that her father isn't tring to. He is just as bad as she is, if not worse. I would like to hear from the other girls, I really am getting tired of just hearing Beyonce. She has a nice voice, but she over powers everyone else. I have taken voice and I am a first saprano; I have sang with choirs and a womens ensamble. I know how important it is to have blend and harmony. They are saddly lacking these qualities. Beyonce is the only one you hear. It's like the Sepremes all over agian. I hope she gets herself together and relizes it's not all about her. I know I am not the only one who is getting tired of her. I hope she knows that the one's supporting her are ready for her to be the bigger person, and let the other ladies shine as well. She's constently talking about God. She better stop before lighting strikes, God don't like ugly. What happened with her girlhood friends that were in the group as well? I think she should be ashamed of herself for that, just remeber what goes around comes around. She better hope the girl's new group they are getting together (angel), doesn't come back to haunt her and her ratings in the music biz. Oh, and to tlcnspace. Good job, so funny. TLC is better. And their never ending loyalties to eachother makes DC look even sadder. I hope to hear more from Michelle and Kelly, before they get tired of Beyonce's crap and leave.

DC's music is good. I admit I purshased the alblum but I really feel It's Beonceys group not Destiny's Child. I really hate it when ppl say they r the biggest selling female group when there not. Rumors are spreading, and beyonce, said it herself, that they we the biggest selling female group, no, TLC is the biggest selling group of all time. All together, tlc sold 30 million, DC,only sold 15 million, so everyone stop saying DC is the biggest female selling group, because they are not. TLC IS and ALWAYS will be!!!

I think that all of the girls are very taltented but you would never know that they are because you only hear and really see Beyonce. I think that her parents have alot to do with that and it is not fair to the other girls ( that is why i think the other girls left). In a singing group it should be just that a group thing. I feel that maybe Beyonce should go solo. ( which she is doing already and have the other 2 girls as back up kinda like it is now.) They are all really pretty girls, and i think they should knida stop focusing only on beyonce's beauty......

the writtings on the wall is ok, but it is true beyonce does sing in every song, and i'm quite tired of her. She's the only one get invited onto shows, people are always saying just her name, like they are no longer a group. they should give the other two girls a chance too. they should have just named the group BEYONCE.

This album was cool for some teenagers, I mean every song dealt the problem of a young woman. I feel that Beyounce is a real arrogant young lady, (because her father made her the messiah of the group) but other that the ladies are hot and they do have talent. I will give them credit and hope their attitudes change and not there music.

all y'all who say destiny's child are crap need 2 reexamine what y'all think music is! Destiny's Child are the bomb and if u don't like it, well, whatever, but don't put them down so much. They are the definition of good music. I think they're all sexy, have beautiful voices, and are really talented.

There all abunch of non talented singers

This CD is a lot like TLC. They harmonize so well together. I can relate to all their songs. They empower me, and I can't help but to sing them in my car.

The Cd is cool, too bad those chicks aren't even in the group anymore. If there wasn't thaat chick, Beyonce, there would be now group.

To all the people who thinks destinys child sux... YOU SUCK. They're the best there is and every song on The Writings on the wall is totaly excellent. In My opinion , SAY MY NAME , JUMPIN' JUMPIN' and INDEPENDANT WOMAN are the best songs ever made. In short... Destinys child Rules!!!

this is a wonderful CD! Every song is contagious

They should be called Blancee's Child. She is the only one you hear in all the songs. They are all good singers, but Bloncee needs to let the other group members sing more. And they need to make better songs, more of an upbeat kind.

Every track on this CD makes you bob your head and say, "you go girl." It is such a positive CD with amazing lyrics. Every girl should have this CD and it also has great dubbin' tracks like "Jumpin', Jumpin'."

Their music has this new flavor of pop that makes them stand out from the others like Britney, Christina and Mandy. They have funky, cool, harmonic spunk that makes this CD awesome. The lead singer has such an awesome voice!

this album is their best yet. Destiny's Child is the best group ever!!!!! I listen to their album everyday and it is so underrated. Ladies if you ever read this i want you to know that you guys rock and i love your music

This is really a great CD. I love Destiny's Child music and the outfits are always out of sight. These are 3 very talented women . Keep up the good work.

I am 21 years old and love Destiny's Child more than Micheal Jackson was loved in the 80's. There clothes are the "truth" their hair is off the hook, and the lyrics to every song you cant tell me I could not have wrote the songs for them. But the only thing that I HATE IS THAT, THAT DAMN BEYONCE IS ALWAYS IN THE FRONT!!! When the truth of the matter is KELLY HAS THE BOMB VOICE SHE CAN BLOW BEYONCE OUT ANYTIME AND SHE KNOWS THAT THAT IS WHY THEY DONT LET KELLY SING MORE THAN SHE DOES. Just listen to her on the D.L and you will hear what Iam saying Kelly is so baning...her voice,her sytle, her petite size, her hair she is the "truth"! but deep inside Beyonce knows that show that is why her and her parents keep Kelly in the back....BUT TO KELLY KEEP DOING WHAT YOU DO, AND HOW YOU DO IT BEACUSE YOU ARE OFF THE HOOK!!! The Cd itself was not bad, but when the other girls were put out the group took a turn for the worst. I get so tired of seeing Beyonce. They center every word that comes out of their mouth around her. He is very controlling, I just recently read an article on the group and it's management. It was so awful, so I hat Destiny's Child! This album by Destiny's Child has plenty of hits that will be celebrated for years to come. This is one of the first albums that I can play straight through without skipping. If people do not have this album, they need to go out and get it.

We love your band we think it is the best band in the world .Our favorite song is callded ALL the honeys make the money throw your hands up at me.We think that your the bomb and my friend Hayli isn't really a person who can remember some of the words but most of them I don't really know all of the words but most of them but we both can sing .

Their vocals blend together perfectly and they have songs that everyone can relate to. These songs keep it real.

Da Destiny's child c.d was off da chain.It talks about every day things.It's just that like the song (Say My Name)Every time you try to get a chance to say their name they is always kicking somebody out of the group.Also Beyonce' needs to let someone else sing sometime even though her father is the producer but it's not called Beyonce' and Destiny's Child.But they have good voices and to keep up the good work.For all dem haters out there that be hatin' on them.HONEY'S PLEASE!!! It's also good that they put some church up in there,cause I love that song Amazing Grace.Their music also influences teenagers minds (like me)And it's a good influence.I know what ya'll thinking but really it is.

It's WICKED a really good CD

I really do not beleive in bad mouthing anyone because it just brings down both parties. I feel that the cd shows that they put in lots of work and truly tried to do their best. I do also beleive that they are good singers and are talented ( the group wouldn't be here if they weren't) but I do have one problem with the foundation of this group....Beyoncee. Obviously she has a good voice and even though her vocal range is not amazing I am sure with time it will be aquired. Unfortunatly she is definatly hogging the spot light. There are two other members 9use to be four but i won't even go into that whole drama) in the group who deserve equal leads( they work hard to, or at least try to). The blending of everyone's talents is what makes a terrific group not just focusing on one good voice. I think that shows some serious insecurities on Beyoncee's part. So in conclusion I feel that the album was very good but Beyoncee ( and I suspect her father as well) should get their act together before they ruin it for everyone involved!!!

All six of them are fine and all of them can blow. Their album is very good and I like all the tracks that are jiggy(party music).

Destiny's Child's sophmore album has major hits such as "Say My Name," "Bug A Boo," and their latest "Jumpin', Jumpin'." It has its share of dance music and soulful ballads. The album ends with their acappella version of "Amazing Grace." I personally recommend this album to those who like good R&B. These ladies are great.

A very talented group of women with a creatively pieced together songlist. Especially liked the last a capella song.

With Destiny's Child's roster constantly changing, the quality is still good. Even though Deonce (the lead singer) does everything, the other girls are good too. While it shouldn't be too long before she leaves the group, this album is really good.

Destiny's Child cd is the bomb because it talks about everyday life. I am not just saying this because I am their #1 fan, but they have some great songs on this cd. For all of you hatas, find something better to do because this world does not need that. The first time I heard the cd I was so amazed and was in love with it. When I bought it I must have listened to it over 50 times no exgeration. Each song on the cd gets 5 stars from me.

All the songs on this album are totally anti-male. None of the songs express their love or affection for any men. They dis on men constantly and it seems like they are lesbians 'cuz they hate men so much.
