I will admit the cheese factor of this album, but New Tatoo has some really catchy songs.

A lot of Motley fans I know don't like this one, but I think it is great. It is a fun album and good to see them going back to their classic sound.

It's sad to see these guys regress back to pre-Theater of Pain when their lyrics were of junior high mentality.

The Crue doesnt look all sissy anymore and their music still sounds good.

More heavy metal hair band nancy boys still trying to convince people that even though they wear makeup and dresses.The music sucks as much today as it did 18 years ago.

New Tattoo- What can I say. I knew in my heart that this album would be great, but I had no idea that I would be getting a masterpiece. This is the first Motley Crue album since Shout At The Devil that I can listen to top to bottom, without skipping any songs. This album reminds me a lot of GNR's Appetite For Destruction in that it is almost like a greatest hits album. This album has a little something for everyone. But when Mike Clink produces your record, I guess that's to be expected. It's as if this album is like a freshly recorded Decaded Of Decadence meaning that every song sounds like it is from another era. Hell On High Heels is the perfect lead track to let the world know that The Crue are back. Treat Me Like The Dog I Am is a power crunch, toungue-in-cheek punkish rocker. New Tattoo is not only the best Motley ballad by a long shot, but it's one of their greatest songs period. Dragstrip Superstar takes us on another trip down memory lane with it's glam/hard rock feel to it. 1st Band On The Moon is an anthem for the disenchanted and disillusioned fans who are starved for big, big rock. She Needs Rock N Roll sounds like vintage Motley on the surface, but after a couple of listens you'll see there's a lot of wonderful, pleasnt surprises that take place. Punched In The Teeth By Love, to me, is a song that replaces Kickstart My Heart, and takes a place right alongside Knock 'Em Dead Kid as a blood boiler. Hollywood Ending is another ballad that is simply ear candy. I was never a fan of Motley ballads(Home Sweet Home was o.k.) but the two ballads on these albums find Motley travelling a different, but much smoother, road than they've traveled before. Fake is a powerful tune in which the message is nasty, but the delivery is pure Nikki Sixx toungue-in-cheek fun. Pornostar- What would a Motley Crue album be without a song about their favorite passtime? Nuff Said. White Punks On Dope is an old Tubes song redone by the Boys. And, as is usually the case with motley cover songs, they capture the vibe perfectly. If I could give this album a 10, I would. I said 1 year ago that this would be the album that Mick Mars shows the world just how good he is. Boy, was I right. In the end, this is an album that will not only please Motley fans, but knock their socks clean off. It's clearly obvious that the people who slag this album are either wannabe fans (Dr Feelgood bandwagon hoppers) or they just don't understand Motley Crue. The funny thing is, these morons actually took the time to write a review. Anyone who says the lyrics are juvenile have obviously never heard of the concept of tongue-in-cheek. Warning to all you juvenile haters- When it sounds like Nikki is just putting together words for the sake of rhyming, there's something more going on. There's a hidden meaning under it. Too Fast and Shout were great at the hidden meanings, but after that, it got more straigh-ahead. By the time Dr. Feelgood came out, it was just rhyme-time. This album brings out the insidious side of Nikki. That's why I became a fan in the first place. And anyone who says they're no talent bums is a f***ing parasite. I remember when Feelgood came out, people wanted them to prove their ability. So they followed that up with the Motley Crue album. The same people who wanted them to prove their worth turned their backs on the Crue. So, since the Crue can't seem to please anyone, why not strive to please yourselves? And who knows. If the Crueheads put it out to be heard, we just might win a few more new recruits.

Not my favorite Crue album, but it isn't too bad and has some good songs. Come on everyone, let's get behind the Crue, and also might I throw in there is some great albums but other rockers out there. Alice Cooper's Brutal Planet is great,Dio's Magica, and Rob Halford's Resurrection. It is in our best interest to support all the veteran rockers who are putting out good products. P

what a load of crap!

I don't think,I have ever been more disapponted. This album is terrible. A 4th grade mentality on it, and these guys are better than that.Avoid this one like th plaque,if you are over the age of twelve.

I am so disapointed with this album. It has the most juvenile lyrics I have ever heard. Kinda sad to hear guys in their 40's going back to Too Fast For Love lyrics. A real regression,instead of progression. If you graduated from high school or beyond, this albumis beneath you and I used to be a diehard Crue fan, but Vince Neil's voice is in terribel shape. A real joke,this album.

Clearly the majority of the "New Tattoo" comments left here are from hard-core Motley Crue fans. That's fine, and from what I understand "New Tattoo" hasn't disappointed the Crue's faithful followers. But if you aren't already a fan, this CD isn't going to convert you. It's just more of the same loud, talentless noise this band has been putting out for years. In a matter of months, this CD will be completely forgotten by 99.999% of music fans - as it should be.

This is by far Motley's best album to date. It has a little bit of everything on it. From songs cut from the cloth from their debut album, Too Fast For Love, right up to songs cut from the cloth of their Selt-Titled 94 album which featured John Corabi on vocals. This album is even more impressive when you consider the boys are 40 years old, and they still rock hard. This is the kind of album that makes you not only proud to be a Motley Crue fan, but a fan of Rock N Roll in general.

I'm not a big person on telling people what to listen to, but I have no chopice but to tell everyone to pick up a copy. Anyone who likes real rock n roll will love this album.

This cd is one of the best i have ever heard...i shows all the non-belivers that rock n roll is back and it is gonna kick our ass harder than it has ever before and all the lil bouy bands are gonna run home to mommy crying like the lil babys they are..with there tails between there legs cuz they cant hang with the big dogs.....hi :^) kitty i know you are gonna see this....motley rocks....long live rock n roll..and we must never forget that it's not just music it is a way of life!!!!!

I knew right away that it would be a quality record knowing that the Crue were making it. But I never expected this. This is the best album I have ever heard, right from the first song "Hell On High Heels" all the way to "White Punks On Dope". And then the Crue put a little gem in the middle called "New Tattoo" this killer love ballad which in my oppion will soon be classic. Don't pass up the opportunity to add one of the best compilations of music to be put together to your collection, you won't be disappointed.

This is the best record made so far this year. Hell, it's better than any of that crap passed off as music in the '90's. No rapping, no whinny ass songs about how life sucks, just straight in your face kick ass rock. This is the perfect record to play when it is time to get the party started. Motley Crue comes after a lot of trouble with a CD that has Motley Crue all over it, you can hear the same ol' Crue that we all fell in love with. A great CD that will be known from now on as a classic Rock album. THIS IS WHAT ROCK N ROLL IS ALL ABOUT !!!!
