I'm sure John Legend is a nice guy and a fine performer, but I find his stuff only a notch above bland. If he manages a durable career he'll have to stretch himself beyond the realm of Baby Boomer make out music because let's be honest, Baby Boomers are going to be making out for that much longer. He's got the voice and reasonably good taste to be trying things more adventurous than what he's produced so far.

John Legend's "Ordinary People" maintains a soft spot in my heart. Simply, I love this song. Right now, I'm trying to learn it on piano (which will probably take me a long time to do). But it's a song that resonates for me and my past relationships.

A timely song.
