A definite ground breaker musically and vocally. Gangster raps birth and the end of innocence at the same time.

Just when rap seemed to be destined for misery with the likes of Vanilla Ice and other bubblegum rap as their leaders, these hoods show up and change everything. Gangsta before it was even a word, they set the standard for all others. Not the first rap album, but maybe the most important. The irony being that I bet the mass majority of their albums lived their lives in the album collection of every Wonder bread white Wally Cleaver wannabe gangsta in every white suburb of every city of America.

The first and one of the greatest west coast created albums ever created, this is old school... so it may seem a bit tame by today's standards. If you are truely into rap then this should have a place in your collection.

The antithesis of commercial hip-hop. I heard it first at age 18 and man it blew my mind.

This CD introduced the world to gangster rap- it is gangster rap at its best, and it produced some of the best rappers in the world. An all-star group featuring Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and Easy-E. From hilarious rapping about girls and beer to songs that will make you think.

This album is a classic with many artists that make West Coast hip hop what it is today.

This album is a classic! Eazy-E, Dre, etc...Great combination. I think this album started gangsta rap! Fo shor! The beats are crazy, gives people a real feel of the ghetto.
