Arguably Monk's greatest recording of the 1950's, but it would be difficult to fail with these sidemen. Pannonica is sweet with Monk on celeste, just ahead of Max Roach's wicked beat on the Bemsha Swing. Acquire this CD.

The mysterious mind of Monk leads you into the unexpected.

This is one of the best Monk albums ever recorded. Sonny Rollins and Eric Henry festor prominently on this carefully composed, yet free blowing album. The title tune is one of the trickiest melodies ever written and Rollins tears it to shreds. This is a must for any Monk or Sonny Rollins fan.
