 | Wiggum (16) 03/22/2001 | Clapton is one of my favorite all-time musicians, and this is probably his flagship solo work. With songs like “Cocaine,” “Wonderful Tonight,” and “Law Down Sally,” this is almost like a Greatest Hits CD. But my favorite track is easily “The Core,” a long, amazing back-and-forth exchange with Marcy Levy. If you’re a Clapton fan, this is one of the three must-have CDs (along with “Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs” and “Blind Faith.”
