Not Dylan's best work but I give it five stars 'cause the good songs on it are outstanding!

Along with Robert Plant, the WORST singer ever.

If you had to sum up the 60's for a martian, just play this album and watch the martian's head explode. Amazing collection of folk, rock, blues, acid, country and poetry in one package. Wow!

Dylan's most assured and maybe substatial album of his first classic period. It lacks the wrecklessness of Highway 61 Revisited, but pound for pound produces more essential songs. It also gave birth to the double album concept.

I want you soooo bad. Gotta love this record. I love everything the man has done, this is a good one.

A great album, even for Dylan. From the cynical "Rainy day women" through the lush "Visions of Johanna" to the inimitable "Stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again",the raucious "Leopard skin pillbox hat" and my favorite cut "Obviously 5 Believers",this album showcases some of the awesome diversity and originality that keeps many of us interested in this artist regardless of some clunkers and cranky moments with the press.

the greatest album ever made!

The judge he holds a grudge, he's going to call on you. He's badly built and he walks on stilts, watch out he doesn't fall on you. Dylan--poet-lyricist nonpareil.

It is mystifying to me that Blonde on Blonde is in the top 20. It is the best double album ever and was released at the pinnacle of Dylan's immense popularity and influence before his motorcycle accident.

Though "Highway 61" might be a stronger more compact effort, "Blonde on Blonde" is still my favourite because of its sprawling, fun strangeness. Tracks 1-8 are all strong but it starts to break up until the last two, which are nice numbers. The record has three large hits-- "Rainy Day Women #12 & 35" (a.k.a. "the drug song"), "I Want You," and "Just Like A Woman" (I have to disagree with you Anduarto- I think that "Just Like A Woman" is the best on the record). "Blonde on Blonde" is a magnificent collection full of blues, folk-rock, and something else.

The only questionable cut here is "Just Like a Woman" which always gave me the heebie-geebies. But the rest is so good it still gets 5 stars.

The lyrics of these songs speak to the soul at the time. The haunting words of "Johanna on the Wall", leave a permanent impression on the listener.

Bob Dylan is great himself. All his songs have his heart and soul poured into them. Every song is a story and his voice is very soothing. If you're into the folk music, 60's scene, this CD is definitely a must.

Bob Dylan is a poetic genius. I will always like this particular album.

Dylan is full of pure genius on Blone on Blonde. When you watch Elvis's early TV apperances, you can register that American culture was being transformed. Same here. Dylan's '64-'66 records show him taking strains of American music history and inventing a whole new vocabulary out of it.
