A good kids show. My son watched it as much as possible when he was about 10 years old.

i dont care what anyone says kids show or adults this show was the best written tv series ever...it dealt with everything. drug abuse, child abuse, death and coping with real life...this show captured the hearts and minds of so many young children, teenagers and adults...it was a very well acted show and should never be forgotten as a timeless classic...the name bill bixby speaks for itself!

I already had a crush on him from when he played in The Courtship of Eddie's Father.

The 70's seemed to be the decade for science-fiction dramas, and "The Incredible Hulk" was one of the later ones. As some prior comments noted, this series was very similar to "The Fugitive", with Banner (Bill Bixby) running from town to town in order to avoid his nemesis (Jack Colvin) and to find a cure for his strange affliction. Obviously the target audience was families with young boys, and there certainly is a place for such shows. As a bonus, the closing mood and music added a touch of melancholy and sophistication absent from other similar series.

The only disappointment here is that The Hulk did not smash up enough things, or people, it needed more action.

What a boring show! The same story line every week. No wonder the movie was a total flop.

I think Bill Bixby split his pants in anger over accepting this cartoon.Lou Farrignos steroid pumped torso and grunting were weekly occurnces on this show. The stories like the fugitve on steroids except the shows only being so,so.

only on occasion did i watch this. mainly if it was all that was on. it was all the same somebody would make david banner mad and before you knew it his clothes would come popping off he would start to turn green and he would be the incredible hulk. whoopee. it just was not my kind of show.

i know that i seemed that david banner would turn into the hulk it was the same all the time the way he turned into the hulk but this was a 70's tv show so that was ok it was still fun to watch because this show was way better than that movie a couple of years ago

Loved this show as a kid. Probably would think it's stupid today...don't really watch much tv anymore, but back then it was good.

The only thing incredible about it was that it got on the air in the first place.

A total peice of trash! That wasnt The Hulk, He wasnt even bullet proof. I know it was very popular with many of You but I being a Huge long time fan of the comic book anxiously awaited the premier of the TV movie was left totally disgusted. I remember buying the comics for .12 cents when He was in tales to astonish, I'm 45 years old & have virtually every comic he was ever in, definately the regular series, tales to astonish, avengers defenders & almost all guest appearances in other hero books. Sorry, cant watch the show.

I think it isn't easy being green like Kermit the Frog said Hulk is kind of like one of those people (like my ex-girlfriend >_<)who has a bad temper and turns red except he goes green and smashes stuff. I wonder why he always had purple pants that didn't rip off.

Great fantasy/action show. You really felt for Bixby's Banner and the Hulk. Bixby is twice the director of Ang Lee, who totally mucked up the story and character. What a shame.

The special effects pale in comparison to todays cgi but remember this was the 70's and it was a tv show. The storyline showed how lonely this man was. He had to exile himself from society out of fear of hurting innocent people.

Haven't seen this in years..I think it's on the Sci-Fi channel? Anyway it was an intresting show..liked the one where he's in the hospital and told he won't walk again. Trying to get up and exercise he falls down and gets angry and guess what happens? The Hulk returns and at first can't walk either but then he heals himself..somehow during the transformation nerves are grow back and Bill Bixby is himself again.

I enjoyed this version of Hulk, and hated when the series ended. However the newer version that has just been released in the movies is horrible.

The movie doesn't stand a chance in comparison with this. The whole reason I love the Hulk is because of this show--the whole lonely man theme, a wayfaring stranger constantly forced to change identities and move on. Not to mention that Bill Bixby was a tortured soul himself, adding to the effect. And they don't even bother to show re-runs.

Great acting by Bill Bixby, and surprisingly good acting by Lou Ferrigno. I loved the special f/x. It was one of the HIGHEST-budget shows on CBS at the time. When Bill was offered the part, he wasn't interested until he read the script. It was the first time a show based on a comic book character was written in a serious adult way - and the only one to win an Emmy (it won 2). The story of a man tormented by the result of an accidental reaction. And as he tries to find a cure, he selflessly helps other people with their problems.

A lot darker in tone than a lot of the other superhero shows of that time period (i.e. Wonder Woman, Six Million Dollar Man, Bionic Woman, etc.), but I enjoyed the show very much. I think Bill Bixby did an excellent job playing David Banner, always on the run and just one step ahead of that one guy who was always chasing him. I can't remember what his character's name was. That theme song was cool too. The piano plays and then the voice says something like "Dr. David Banner, scientist, attempts to tap into the hidden strength inside all humans." Then it all goes wrong, and then he says "don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry". No doubt about that. Anyway, I'm sure I got part of that wrong, but it's been a good while since I've seen the show. Lou Ferrigno did an excellent job as the Hulk, too. He conveyed anger and confusion very well for someone who was never allowed to speak on the show.

Low-budget adaption of hit comic book series was overlong and boring. The worst makeup design of a TV series in history.

first thing that comes to mind is that very haunting piano music played at the end of each episode that gave the show a really serious tragic feel despite being about comic book character. seems pretty cool to think on it now. this was o.k. but for the 80's looking back it was kind of dark and downbeat. this is what big "lou" will be remembered for probably forever. r.i.p bill bixby

Bill Bixby. Lou Ferigno. Butt kicking every week, in the comic-book style. YAY!

Despite the literally comic-book style plot device of "hulking out," this was a very thoughtful and well produced dramatic anthology which leaned far more heavily on Quinn Martin than it ever did on Marvel Comics. If you really couldn't get enough of David Janssen's Fugitive, forget the movie and definitely forget Tim Daly. This is the only show I know of that really captured that same feel, much as others might have tried.

Eeeeesh! A quick summary of all the plots of the entire series; a guy gets mad, turns green, magically bulks up and makes mince meat out of the people who ticked him off. Is this a 12 year old male fantasy or what? Well, I guess it wasn't meant for everyone.
