01/04/2006 | this is a good c.d. no its not smash or ixnay but if you have all their old c.d,s you can see exactly what was coming next i dont want to hear ignition or smash again just with different lyrics that is what selling out is they are not selling out they made money on smash they are becoming more intricate.

12/27/2003 | this was a good album i do have to admit and offspring is the best band in the world, but this is the ablum where they really differe from smash or ignition more kinda funk,rock, punk, before they were hard rock punk which i personally liked better, but i do have to say this album did have some good songs like pretty fly, have ever, which i have to say was a awesome song espcially the ending, kids aren't alright,americana, but i do have to say they kinda ruined pay the man, they shuld have taken the first 5 minutes out of that song, if u like punk/rock music get this album

06/15/2003 | CBGC's in like 1992 opening for pennywise in front of 300 people tops. they were awesome, noodles handed me a beer...i was 16.
well, i outgrew pennywise 'cause all their cd's sound the same (unknown road still rules though)
and offspring have changed into a band that sang "pretty fly for a white guy" which you could have confused w/ Sugar Ray or something.
depressing and pathetic...kinda like metallica.

01/28/2002 |  It seems that Offspring will not go back to the days of 'Ignition' or 'Smash.' However, 'Amricana' is considered by most rock fans as their second best effort. Understandably so. I feel the same way. The logic behind this reason is not just because of 'Pretty fly...' and 'Why don't you get a job', but it's part of it. After all, they were grest catchy songs. 'Pretty fly...' had a good riff and had a message that said Posers' (specifically white or anyone trying to become a different race other than their own) suck and are stupid. 'Why don't you...' had a good caribbean drum beat and said 'Down with dominating and yet....lazy A@@ partners.' You can't beat that. The other reason though why this album is better than the others is because of the songs that shouted out "Yeah! This is true Offspring, and it kicks A@@!" (particularly 'Staring at the Sun,' 'No Brakes,' 'Walla-Walla,' and 'End of the Line.' IF you're interested in Offspring, GET SMASH! IF ya want to go even further into Dex and co.'s world, start with Americana.

02/21/2001 | Not their best, not their most punk, but they still ROCK and Staring At The Sun is an awesome song. Anyone wanting punk might not like it- they should get Ignition or The Offspring instead- but stop trying to make it fit into a "punk" stereotype and just accept it for what it is...VERY GOOD MUSIC!!! ;)

02/15/2001 | while i agree that this album is not as good as some of their other albums its still an OK album, theres a hell of a lot of crapper music out there, and why do some of the reviews say they hate this band? have they bought all of their albums and hated every one of their songs? if they dont like this album then they should buy SMASH one their earlier albums that really ROCKS!!!!

10/20/2000 | I especially like this CD because last summer I spent two weeks in Alaska. My friend and I rented a car and drove all around southern Alaska. Offspring was the only CD we found that was half way decent. Now, it has many ties to memories of a very epic experience in a very beautiful part of the world, which I spent with an incredibly special friend.

10/18/2000 | The offspring are one of my favorite bands. I have 4 of their released 5 albums (The Offspring, Ignition, Smash, Ixnay On The Hombre, and Americana) and I love them all. I also have 10 of the total 12 songs that are on their newest cd, Conspiracy Of One, to be released on November 14th. They are great. I can't wait for the cd. Any Offspring fan that hasn't downloaded the songs or hasn't heard them yet is in for a treat.

07/08/2000 | Alright the Offspring rock. No one can ever forget the raspy slightly obnoxious voice of the lead vocals. From the heavy rotation on MTV and radios of PRETTY FLY FOR A WHITE GUY and ISSUES fans flocked to purchase the album. My favorite track is number two, starring at the sun.
