Within her music and in the power of her soul that is echoed through her voice, I find the comfort and solace that I need to move forward. Christina Aguilera and just the strength of her character has had a profound impact on my life and probably the lives of countless others; this is much more than you can say about many other artists today that conform and don't cause any stir or controversy. As a 15 year-old girl, I am proud to say that Christina is my inspiration and my role model, and nothing anyone else will say can change it.

11/01/2001 | DO NOT BUY THIS CD! If you have, save yourself now and throw it away. Not only are the songs on it your basic blonde/bubble gum pop that only the 12 and under set can actually appreciate, some of the songs on it aren't even the same versions that are played on the radio (and trust me, the original versions of the songs they did remix are even worse than the ones on air).

06/14/2001 | I prefer her Spanish version of this album. Before getting this CD as a present when I left Chile & set back to Norway, I hadn't really liked her. But now this CD makes me nostalgic & wanna go back to a Spanish-speaking country which I'm actually gonna do soon. I'll spend two weeks of my summer holidays in Spain, especially Barcelona, Madrid & Alicante. In the middle of August I'm going to begin at the only Norwegian (private) school on the Canari Islands. To be more specific it lies on Gran Canaria & of course it's called "El colegio noruego". Their webpage is www.colegio.no. However I'm gonna lived there at least two-three years. First two years at high school. Then probably some time working. I have high expectations! :-))

I guess you don't have to have any talent to be in the music business today (just look at our choices...everything from N'Stink to Backdoor Boys). The only way I would listen to Christina sing is if Dr. Jack Kevorkian was standing over my bed & he used her music as assisted suicide.

03/02/2001 | She is AMAZING! Just listen to the vocals on this record and you'll tottaly fall in love with her. I did anyway. If you think she is a bad singer.... take a look in the REAL world... you had nothing better to do then slag off Christina's CD, then you must be sum ugly person who has no friends...who cant listen or look properly! Every single song is a great tune, from Ballads, to Up-Tempo songs...Personal highlights go to "Genie In A Bottle", "I Turn To You", "When You Put You're Hands On Me", "Reflection" and "Blessed"! TOTTALY amazing. Who wouldn't want this CD? Loosers... I know! Great.....Inspirational.....THE BEST!

12/15/2000 | What can I say? At first I thought she is ok and I liked "Genie in a bottle". But later on I realised why some people like her and what the words of some of the songs really meant--"You gotta rub me the right way", "What a girl wants"--both have strong sexual meanings, double meanings, come on people!?!. "I turn to you" is not a bad song, but coming from her mouth, without any feelings makes the song annoying and of course the CD isn't great either. And on top of that the way she acts and dresses are totally opposite from the way she says she is "inside". Well now I know what "inside" she means...

Of all the teen stars, Christina Aguilera has one of the better voices. Plus, you've gotta love spending an evening watching 5-10 year old girls all hooched out screaming to some shallow music.

Britney had some great songs and some stinkers, while Christina ranges from Good to Okay. No great ones, no terrible ones. I don't think it is right to compare her to Britney though, because Christina has a different style of music. She puts a little Latin twist into her beats (or at least her producers do), and her music has some actual substance.

11/08/2000 | I believe that Christina has a finer voice than Britney. Her last song obviously sucks! Genie in a Bottle is great, but she didn't write the lyrics. The first of five songs are pretty good and I liked the #10 song Blessed, but the others are only okay. So if you decide to fork some cash over, it wouldn't be a bad move.

The song I enjoy the most is, "What A Girl Wants", because my boyfriend fits the description of that song. He makes me feel good inside and gives me exactly what I want - love!

Maybe if people just listened to the words instead of worrying about what she looks like and how she presents herself then maybe you people would not say that her music has no meaning.
