An old lady desperately clinginging to false shreds of credibility as filtered through evil record company accountants. Dirge. From the UK: You can have her back! We're bored!

Originally back in 1998 during the premiere album release the public had just heard 'Frozen' --a cold, yet hot, stoic, yet beautiful, track with grace and personality. This album had consimated a step into territory Madonna had yet to venture--electonica, which from the get-go Madonna had despised due to its cheapened trend of being a fad. According to her the initial intention was to change all that. Shortly thereafter I was able to musically absorb 'Ray of Light' --a very bright song with a sense of CONTAGIOUS energy, it being a rare combination of being fun AND whimsically dramatic. Wow.* It can be too easy for us to overrate something we all love due to opinion, yet from a musical standpoint-no matter who you are--'Power of Goodbye' for instance carries subtle, easy listening, narrowly diverse tones and utilizes them effectively creating a unique blend of numerous tones that harmonize eachother like birds singing to the glory of a spring morning in unison. To this day on occasion my ear passes through this intrinsic album--(defined as a quality of mystery and interest)-- that still remains as fresh today than it did 5 years prior. Good Job, Madonna--so why torture us with 'American Life'? lol* : )

Probably one of her most ambitious projects in her career. Though most of the album is too Hinduistic to me. Her best track of her career has to be her title track. I also like "Power Of Goodbye" and "Frozen".

Madonna's last decent album. I wish she would go back to her old style.

This album and like a prayer are lyrically and music--wise the best albums madonna has put out. If you study the Kabbalah, or any other mysticism you can hear how it directly influenced madonna on this cd. But no one should take madonna in-depthness too seriously b/c she is and has always been first and foremost a power--hungry buisness woman and second an artist. But back to what i was saying, This cd is awesome. too very big thumbs up!!!!!1

I have to say, being an 80s baby, I love Madonna! But while this album contains some true gems, I wouldn't call it my all-time fave. It is great though!

It's a fantastic album with a wide range of music. I think Madonna is a fabulous artist anyways. I can dance to it.

Madonna has always been great. She is timeless because she can change with the times and trends. The new look on this album suits her. This is the most stunning she has ever looked. For the first time she lets her natural beauty show through. As always, her music is awesome.

Different from any other Madonna album. A clean start for her. All of the songs can be played at a party.

This is another great mix of songs all tossed together onto 1 CD. There are upbeat songs as well as slower, softer songs. My favorite tracks are #1, 9, & 12.

I totally dislike this new CD. Madonna was really better in the 80's. Her songs are too slow and the lyrics stink. This CD is one I did not add to my Madonna collection.

I am a huge Madonna fan, but Ray of Light is my least favorite album. The techno is cool but I like her "in your face" style of music and image more.

I was disappointed. I love Madonna but she has gone wimpy. This CD had a few good songs, but the rest sucked. Too slow. The song "Ray of Light" was the best out of all.

This is a fun CD. It's fast, and takes you on a wild ride through most of the songs. It's hard to pin down(SO Madonna). Good to dance to.

Madonna grows up! Shows her talent. More thought and soul. Good tunes. Great for dancing. Songs pertained to her life.

Madonna continues to stun the world with her hit albums, especially her recent album Ray of Light. I think the music is great because it's a different style than we're used to from Madonna. My most favorite song of all time is "The Power of Goodbye," which is off Ray of Light.

Drawing from Jewish mysticism, Madonna successfully creates a menagerie of sounds which makes this one a winner.

The first time I heard "Ray of Light," I really didn't like it. But after listening to it a few times, it really grew on me. The trippy electronica sounds are pretty relaxing, and Madonna's voice is incredible. My favorite tracks are "Ray of Light," "Swim," and "Candy Perfume Girl." Since I really enjoyed this CD, I have high hopes for "Music."

This is a great album to listen to on your way out on a Friday night. Infectious energy mixed with interesting lyrics that expose Madonna in a new way (emotional vs. sexual). This is a must-have, for its sheer marketing genius if nothing else.

I just don't like her stuff anymore. Believe me, back in the 80's I was all about Madonna. I was even Madonna for Halloween one year but as time goes on, I like her less and less. I like the song Ray of Light but even that is not great. It is so disappointing to me that all the music artists I used to like get worse with each album. It could be my taste in music or that I am getting older, I don't know.

A masterpiece of an album! The first CD in my life I just gotta have - I couldn't live without it - I would do everything to get it! Undoubtly the best CD of the 90ies! Frozen was breathtaking, but Sky Fits Heaven is even better! And still I haven't mentioned the great singles Little Star, To Have But Not To Hold, The Power of Goodbye, Skin, Substitute For Love & Nothing Really Matters! If you think Ray of Light is the best single; well, then you either don't have the album or you have bad taste! If I could ask Madonna only one question, it would be: "How could you be so stupid & include Mer Girl, a catastophe of a song, in this CD - your masterpiece?" The use of piano is so professional! And, as another rater said: This album is healing you, no matter what mood you're in! :o)
