I like the guy! He is in for the mastery and art, rather than fame and fortune

I hadn't really noticed him before Eastern Promises, but I thought he did an excellent job. After that I saw him in A History of Violence, and again was impressed. I think he'll get better and better.

Yum. Anyone who disses him will have to face me on the battlefield where I'll be the geek with fake elven ears holding a rapier...  Okay, I'm back to reality :: sigh ::

I don't think he is THAT attractive but in the roles he has played where he is the "bad guy" he is nothing but genuine.

Viggo did great in LotR, but has yet to show much talent otherwise.

Mortenson is real good. He does good in all of his films. He totally deserved a oscar nomination for a history of violence.

One of my favorite actors. Perfect for the character of Aragorn in LOTR, also good in everything else i've seen him in. Has a lot of potential in other things outside of it, particularly if he is in Jackson's upcoming The Lovely Bones

He shined in Lord of the Rings and will always be known for that work, but I think he has potential outside of that movie too.

I think he is an up and comer, but not yet a fiver. I remember him the "Lord of the Rings," and "Hidalgo."

His kind, to see things, to argue with current problems and to deal with other people, is only one side at him, which I find so great and impressive. Viggo fascinates me each time anew and also if he doesn't judge success for so importantly, I am pleased nevertheless about it, that it receives finally the attention, which he earns.

He's a great actor, a fantastic fotograph and painter and he has a wonderful personality. His sexy look is only one of the reasons I admire so much.

HE'S FANTASTIC!

He is growing on me. I saw him in several movies and I thought he is a flat actor but he can be pretty versatile.

Dude made GI Jane, well, that and Demi's suck my.......oh, and Demi's wet tshirt scenes....and, okay, he was great in Rings....good thing Liv was never in a wet tshirt.

Competent, hard-working and appears to have some range. Not enough of a body of work as yet to say more.

Still, Mortensen is who is playing this role in this movie?, and is not he is playing this role on this movie. It is the present limit of Mortensen and it is the wall which must exceed.

He doesn't just act, he becomes.

I could eat him with a spoon. Yummy! He's a good actor and his on-screen presence is nothing short of phenomenal. I've read that he's a average guy off-screen: family man, doting father, loving husband, lives in a regular neighborhood with regular people. I love him!

He is a great actor, very manly and mature, I really like that in an actor nowadays. I get tired of seeing all the younger ones get all the great parts. Terrific in LOTR Trilogy.

I love everything about Viggo Mortensen. I have over 50 toys,books,cd's and posters from LOTR! I think he did a very good job in Lord of the Rings and Hidalgo. Indeed he is still the king. He blends in with the movie so well as Aragorn. I have a chess game and a trivia game. I know almost everything about LOTR! I put him before any one except for Billy Boyd and Elijah Wood.

Really good in LOTR but otherwise really ugly

I just really came into Viggo's work from the LOTR films...and may I say what an honour it is to know of him. His work, his art, poetry and his anti-war stance are in line with my feelings. He is a true renassaince man.

How can you not respect the hell out of this man? Everything about him is admirable. I wish there were more people who lived their lives like him.

A very understated actor and that is what makes him so good. He is not at all showy or flashy. He embodies his characters with a quiet dignity which makes them stronger.

Can't say that I have seen him in anything other than 28 Days and LOTR series, but have been impressed by both performances. I think he will do well for himself now that he will be more noticed. I hope he doesn't become type-cast. Good work Viggo.

I admire Viggo's approach to acting so much that I find him to be a very talented actor. He takes every role like it is a piece of him and doesn't play them to stand out or get recognition. He just plays them the way he believes they ought to be played-with dignity and hard work. Obviously he has become most well known for Aragorn in LOTR and in this role, he truly embodies the spirit of Aragorn. I believe his upcoming work in Return of the King will be so good that it will warrant him a Oscar nod.

One of those actors that looks different in every role he's in, which is because his body language is different for each role. Another true actor, one who subordinates his own personality and charm to whatever the role demands.

The second hottest guy in Lord of the Rings - second only to Orlando Bloom (Legolas) of course. All sexyness aside, the man can act! He embraced Aragorn like nobody else could have. I can't believe he wasn't their first choice. What a perfect twist of fate that the first guy backed out!!!

He is the best Aragorn one could hope for, painfully sexy. I want to be his hobbit!

What is so brilliant about Viggo as an actor is his incredible diversity. I became aware of who he was when I watched Lord of the Rings, only to realize that I had already seen him in a whole bunch of other movies. I just didn't realize who he was because he blends in so well. He doesn't just act characters, but he becomes them. He's incredibly committed and invested in his roles. He's not interested in becoming a star, only in the quality of his material. I was particularly impressed with his role as a drill seargent in G.I Jane (even though the movie was horrid). He was almost completely unrecognizable, but deliciously ignorant and malicious. Of course Lord of the Rings is his finest performance to date in my opinion. Aragorn is my favourite character from the book and Viggo brought him to life perfectly. He has that sense of history and age, of someone lives up to his duty and yet struggles with his past at the same time. Other notable roles are : A Perfect Murder, A Walk on the Moon, The Prophecy (short but extremely memorable perforamance as the devil)

I think that Viggo is such a good actor!! I have seen most of his films, THE LORD OF THE RINGS, 28 DAYS, and many more! I think that he protrays all his characters really well.
