 | schizophrenicsistah (0) 03/24/2004 | You know what Chelly, up yours. I think that you are an egotistical, PREJUDICE, judging by that gay comment about Darren Hayes's voice, and you are insensitive to other people's feelings. Yes, you have the right to speak your mind, but do it in a HELPFUL way. Many people are very interested in Savage Garden. I am one of them. I think that their music is very expressive. I think that Darren Hayes and Daniel Jones both have very precise and specific views on the world and life and virtue. I think that they have blessed us with their melodious and unique, individual sound. I think they are a very good pair, music wise - being that Darren has a beautful metaphorical vocabulary and the voice of an angel and Daniel has the ability to write a tune that can fit perfectly with the lyrics. As for needing to get a life because Darren's gay - firstly, how does a person SOUND gay? A man that sounds feminine and vice versa, is just a man that sounds feminine and vice versa. And secondly, if you have something against gay people, YOU need to get a life. You just got told by a 12 year old.

 | The_Decockster (0) 04/22/2003 | It's good for when you want to be mellow, or feel lovesick, but this is definitely NOT a party CD!

 | EDDIETHEGREAT (0) 02/09/2003 | These guys are the definition of ordinary, if I was to define a band that simply created light fock in order to get hit's then these guys would be it.
They do not make songs in order to express their own feelings!

 | Princess8110 (0) 07/11/2001 | One of my favorite albums. Their music comes with a deep message and I can relate to most of the songs on this album. Though the CD is awesome, it can't come close to how amazing their live show is!! If you get the chance to go see them, DON'T pass it up!!! They are one of the few groups that have honest lyrics about everyday situations that a lot of people deal with. Unique, overflowing with talent...what can i say? (Oh, and to MISS10072et: You are SO right about the awards thing!!! They really deserve so much...)

 | cellomaster (0) 05/15/2001 | Thank you, Savage Garden, for the Affirmation. Savage Garden is back, everyone, with a bang! Affirmation is a great song about morality and the beauty of life written so beautifully from the heart. Savage Garden is so very poetic and I cannot wait for more great songs.

 | Springsteen80sbaby (1) 04/24/2001 | Not the worst, but some of the songs I don't really care for. I must say, though, "the Animal song" and especially "Affirmation" have good messages

 | Hannah Smith (0) 02/19/2001 | The people that think that Savage Garden is terrible well if you don't appreciate them then go love those wussy bands because they kick butt and if you can't realize that then you suck. But what I really want to say is that Savage Garden is the best band and Darren and Daniel are so cute and I LOVE YA!!!!!

 | ElviraHancock (0) 02/08/2001 | It is hard not to like and appreciate Savage Garden: Popstars who seemingly understand the nature of their audience and harness this knowledge with the intent to actually inspire something more meaningful in their fanbase than the usual pop droll. "Affirmation" is lyrically a blessing on a music scene saturated with misogynistic, regurgitated crap which hardly helps the suppressed and abused consumers it is fed to.

 | Midnight Haze (0) 02/07/2001 | I haven't been a Savage Garden fan for long but when the song Hold Me came out I knew I had to get the album. The songs they sing speak volumes and the words speak the truth. I think Darren is very talented and he has a unique voice which just melts me.I'd luv to see them live and I hope I do soon. Thanx Savage for bringing something new into my life.

 | ccstine (0) 12/04/2000 | Savage Garden is one of my favorite groups! This CD is really good. I love almost all the songs on this album. The songs are easy to relate to and are easy to take a liking to. When I heard 'I knew I loved you...' I feel in love with it because I knew exactly what it meant.

 | flamey15 (0) 12/01/2000 | Savage Garden makes me re-evaluate my life and it helps to show me that not everyones life is peachy(2 beds and a coffee machine). this kind of songwriting always makes me feel like there are people out there who know things about life and are smart enough to sing about the way things really are. So I ask everyone to open yourself to the possibilites- not just the song and how its performed(which is good anyway) but listen to the words. See if you can relate. NOW THATS MUSIC!

 | Darren_Hayes'_gurl (0) 11/25/2000 | Savage Garden has helped me in a way no one else could. See, I used to do nothing but sit in my room and just do absolutely nothing. I didn't have very many friends and used to get picked on constantly by people who thought they were better than me only because they were the kind of people who were popular-and mean. I thought I would never fit in anywhere. Then my mom bought the Savage Garden CD that came out in '97. I heard the song 'A Thousand Words' and realized, thanks to the line in the song "...A thousand words will give the reason why I don't need you anymore"that I didn't need to be popular to be happy. so, after I got transfered to another school district, so I am now a high-school Freshman, and I couldn't be happier because if it wasn't for Darren Hayes and Daniel Jones, I wouldn't be the person I am today. So all you people out there who don't like Savage Garden, I hope my story will make you feel a little more open-minded about them :) And as for Daz & Dan, if you guys are reading this, I love you and respect you for the wonderful people you are. Thank you for changing my life in such a positve way. I truly appreciate it.
-Truly,
Madly,
Deeply,
Nikki

 | daz32837 (0) 11/19/2000 | The reason I love listening to Savage Garden is because their lyrics are honest and filled with
depth and emotion that you can relate to. So much of what's out their today seem's so fake ! So it's nice to listen to something original and fresh that comes from the heart rather then something fabricated by record company's just to
sale records. That and I think that anyone who
has had the chance to see Savage Garden perform
live in concert would agree with me they give a great performance. They really want to please their fans and see that they have a good time at
the concert. I mean you know when you go to see them perform live that their really into it! That they enjoy being there with you. They never come to with the attitude like okay I'm here all do a set or two like you should just be lucky they
graced you with their precense. I've heard stories of other bands who did stuff like that and how dispointed they where because they'd really been looking forward to seeing this band perform live. Every time I've seen Savage Garden perform live I've never been dispointed and I can't wait to see them perform live again in 2001.

 | jang (0) 11/06/2000 | I like to listen to Savage Garden because most of their songs have that special kind of music that's soft, and they usually take me to another place. Kind of like a dreamy feeling and I like it a lot.

 | Beau (0) 10/24/2000 | This group is awful. Their music sucks and their name leads one to believe that they are a tough, rockin' band when in reality they are a bunch of p*ssies.

 | #1SavageGardenFan (0) 09/11/2000 | SAVAGE GARDEN IS THE BEST GROUP EVER! AND YOU ALL NEED TO GET YOUR ACTS STRAIGHT AS TO THE COMMENTS YOU'VE BEEN MAKING. AND DARREN, IF YOU EVER SEE THESE MEAN SPIRITED PEOPLES RATINGS, I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU SHOULDN'T PAY ANY ATTENTION TO THEM AND I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! YOU ROCK!!!! {AND SO DOES BOTH YOUR 1ST & 2ND ALBUMS!} I ALSO SAW A CONCERT OF YOURS AND IT WAS THE GREATEST CONCERT I EVER SAW, DID SEE, AND WILL SEE FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE! I EVEN GOT YOU TO WAVE AT ME WITH MY SEAT BEING RIGHT IN THE FRONT ROW! AND LET ME JUST SAY THAT DARREN, YOU'RE SO ...SWEET LIKE A CHICKA CHERRY COLA! THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH IT WAS I FORGOT TO BRING MY CAMERA, BUT OH WELL. LOVE YA LOTZ, BYE - BYE!

 | miss10072et (0) 09/04/2000 | Here's something I just don't get. Why doesen't this group win more awards? I watch almost every music award show but Savaage garden is rarley even nominitated. I find this just plane strange. This is the only music group I've seen that scans such a large age group. People from my younger brothers age (28) to my dads age (57) like Savage garden. I watch t.v. shows like Vh1s The list and in catagorys like "best new group" (and similar caragories) this band isn't even mentioned. I just don't get it.

 | DrKryptic (6) 01/19/2000 | My sister gave me this CD for Christmas and I can honestly say, without exaggeration, that it is the worst thing I have ever listened to. Savage Garden is the epitome of pretty boy, no talent, image enhanced music that unfortunately, seems to be on the rise lately.
