 | fb507257454 (0) 11/12/2007 | Known for writing children books, this crazy guy has also written some sexually twisted books. Read the 4 stories of Switch Bitch if you dont have much time and need a good laugh (except for story 3/4, which I thought was sad).

 | irishgit (150) 07/11/2007 | Why is he on this list? He is a children's author, not a classic (whatever the hell that means) author. He's not even all that good a children's author.

 | Skizero (15) 03/14/2005 | brilliant children's author who took the pain of his own youth to create such masterpieces as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and James and the Giant Peach

 | jenniferia (0) 09/29/2004 | roald dahl isn't a classic author per se, but his works were great. i used to love his stories. in fact, i still do. i'm going to make sure my kids read his books. he has a whimsy that many other children's authors just can't seem to capture.

 | Moosekarloff (19) 03/18/2004 | Kid stuff. And pretty mediocre kid stuff at that. The fact this guy published so much tells you about how the suits in the industry view children's literature and what contempt they hold for its audience.

 | Lauren A. (0) 10/18/2003 | Roald Dahl is great. He writes stories about subjects that no one ever thinks about, and then when reading his books, can't think of anything else. He also teaches things in his novels, too.

 | Zebadee (0) 04/22/2003 | His auto-biographical books (going solo and the other one (can't remember ?boy?)) are the only low points of an otherwise unblemished career. The quality of the fictional books is superb and the Poems from Revolting Rhymes and Dirty Beast are must-reads.

 | SarahJ (0) 03/22/2003 | Roald Dahl is the best children's book writer that I know of. I have read all of his books since I was young, and everyone one of them was great. He's so imaginitive and his stories are fun for anyone because they are sick and twisted in a way. He's like the Stephen King of children's books!

 | Amy55Rose (0) 02/23/2003 | Roald Dahl has always been my favorite author! I have read "The Witches" about 4 million times! I have been reading Mr. Dahls' books since I was 8 years old- I doubt I will ever get tired of reading these wildly funny, yet serious lesson teaching stories.

 | TheFreak (5) 08/05/2002 | For the longest time, Roald Dahl was one of my favorite authors. By the age of nine, I had almost all of his books and never got tired of any of them. Even now I will occasionally pick one up when I want some laughs. I've also read one of his adult novels, "Kiss-Kiss", which was also qorth a read. My favorite of his books were the two autobiographies, "Boy" and "Going Solo". I'd definitely recommend him for any young children's summer reading list. Take care, everyone!

 | Teaseress (15) 05/09/2002 | I wouldn't regard Roald Dahl as a classic author, maybe a modern classic author...
A very talented man who wrote some of the most popular childrens books, such as, 'The BFG', 'Charlie and the Chocolate factory' and many other greats. He also wrote some adult books, such as, 'Switch Bitch' and 'My Uncle Oswald'. A very talented author and sorely missed.
