I am a James Bond fan, so I really got a kick out of Austin Powers.

Austin Powers is a dumb movie. But that's pretty much the point, as it's also damn funny. It really is a pretty good parody of the James Bond movies, especially it's parody of Bond girl names. I also tend to like Myers' portrayal of Dr. Evil much more than that of Powers.

Also another terrible movie.Mike Myers is the worst actor ever

The first film was the best in this series and was a refreshingly different comedy that poked fun at films like James Bond. It could be one of those films that work better in front of a British audience though
caroline112 12/29/2008
was funny in doses....
Casey4512 09/04/2008
Wonderful with the exception of Elizabeth Hurley's presence....again, the role would have been pulled off better by a blow up doll.

These are pretty funny movies. I like Mike Myers in movies that he plays more than one character....he and Eddie Murphy both are good at it.

Good stuff! Dr. Evil's monologue was hilarious: The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

A pretty funny Mike Myers comedy. He plays a secret agent from the 60s who freezes himself to catch his nemisis in the 90s. A lot of funny moments and lines.
ColtSeries70 02/22/2007
This movie is just fun. All shits and giggles. Yeah Baby Yeah!
Djahuti 10/01/2006
I didn't think it was funny. It was annoying and corny,if anyrhing.
James76255 06/12/2005
Actually I found it quite boring. There were a couple of scenes that were pretty funny, but overall I didn't care for it much. Oddly enough, I thought the sequels were better.
