I watched him on youtube via the Larry King show which he stated that he could not say that Jesus was the only way to heaven. Enough said.

Generally speaking I don't like most TV Evangelists, but there is always the exception to the rule. I have a lot of respect for Billy Graham as it seems to me he is the only one out there practicing what he preaches, as it were. He is like an old country preacher and doesn't give off the impression he is just there to get his face on television and his hand in your wallet.

Billy Graham has been preaching the simple salvation gospel message and for many years has led many to the Lord through his crusades. This Godly gentleman has my all-around respect.

I hold what he has done over the years in highest regard. Some of his faculties are failing him, but that should not matter when he gets to that great homecoming. I expect Paul will be one of the first to greet him.

Way back when Rev. Graham preached Jesus was only way to heaven, he had my respect. Now he says all religions lead to Jesus. I assume his mental faculties have diminished with age.

Be careful and study his life. He is a 33 degree Mason. Look it up...

He does teach Jesus Christ is the way to salvation, but listen and see what if ever, he shares regarding repentance and turing your life over to Christ, and dying daily to follow Him.

BG has been a first rate actor/salesmen since the 50's and all the fraud clergy fall at his feet. Most of the people who attend his "crusades" are church people and most who come to the front to get saved are church people. You can fool most of the people most of the time, especially the cultural christians. He is ecumenical, friend of deceivers, and loved by the world. The best preachers are on the streets, without salary winning the sinners, not church people, to Christ.

Personally, I don't think Graham belongs on this list. I think most would agree that he is a good and sincere man.

Billy Graham had a close personal relationship with and fondness for both the Reagans and the Clintons. Unlike others on this list, I think this proves his objectivity in Christ.

This man is a great preacher. He is a Bible based minister, and had brough millions to Jesus. He does not stand between man and God. He believes that the only way to God is through Jesus. Also, he is the only evangelist I know that still lives in the same cabin on the mountain that he bought when he began his ministry. He lives a humble life, unlike 99% of other evangelists. He truly uses his money for others, not himself.

This is what the Bible teaches us. If a sinner (one who practices sin and does not know Christ. This is everyone before we come to accept Jessus fully!) repents of their sin, confesses and believes in Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9) then they're eternally saved from seperation from God. Now, listen carefully. If the belief and confession is real they are saved. Period! If it is not real, or not from one's heart fully, then it's not true believing and one is not saved. Right? You see, Jehovah has given us all this free gift. All we have to do is accept it. If it wasn't freely given, then why did Christ have to die on the cross in our place? If a person truly repents and turns their life to Christ, then it is a real conversion. Bottom line, the Lord gives us this free gift freely to those that confess their full heart belief in Him. Read the following scriptures and let the Word of God bring you into all truth. Romans 10:9, "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Ephesians 1:13, "In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise. I John 5:13, "These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life." Ephesians 4:30, "Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption."

Graham's message as coming to the Lord I agree with...Come as you are,,but we are not to stay as we are..Go, and sin no more is a command to all followers and true believers.

I believe however Graham is a watered down compromised deceiver!! His life on the pulpit is right on!! He preaches the no compromised message of the CROSS!!

Where he goes wrong is his life outside the pulpit..He is a 33 degree Mason!! Masonry is totally anti christian and the roots of this society is Satanic!!

Secondly, he is a partaker of other ministries false faiths, such as Roman Catholism, and he upholds many false teachers, which Jude warns about not blessing those who do not hold fast to the true doctrines of Christ!! He blesses Shuller who is a mockery to the christian faith and many, many other blasphemers of the cross such as Oral Roberts..

The man is a friend of the whole world!! This seems good but Christ say's those who are friends with the world and society are enemies of the cross!! Christ say's the true mark of walking in Truth and in Christ is that the world will hate you as it did Christ!! All heads of State love Billy Graham!!

They would not love him if he showed them the error of their way's and stood against them instead of with them!! Scary ministry indeed!! Satan is the best preacher of them all!! Don't forget that!!

Billy Graham is NOT preaching the true gospel, but a distortion of the gospel. Billy preaches a part grace and a part YOUR works gospel. Graham does teach that Christ paid for our sins by what he did on the cross, BUT, Graham adds that you must do your part and repent and clean up your act, and forsake your sins, (which we can only at best do a very poor job of, even with our best efforts), and if you don't you won't be saved and born again no matter how much faith you have in Christ' shed blood on the cross. The Bible tells us over and over that we are saved by God's grace simply by our accepting His grace, PLUS NOTHING ELSE ON OUR PART. In fact the Apostle Paul in his epistles condemns any adding of our works or efforts to the shed blood of Christ. Yet Rev. Billy, in his subtle way, throws salvation back in our hands from the cross, and in doing so he is saying "Christ did his part, now you have to do your part and make your salvation good by your repenting of your sins and changing your life": in other words YOUR works. In doing this Graham is preaching a false gospel! And I think he keeps many away from the wonderful and joyful knowledge that Christ has completlely saved them, paying for all the sins they have ever or will ever commit, and giving them the gift of everlasting life. He does this my putting in the mind of his audiences that you have to clean up your life to be saved: in other words, you have to be your own savior. From my own personal experience of listening to him as a teen, Graham left me with the knowledge that I had to change my life in order to be saved--which I could not do, no matter how hard I tried. If Graham had taught the simple truth that Christ offers us eternal life if we will accept in faith what He did on the cross, I would have been saved when I was a teenager. As it turn out, I read for myself in the Bible the wonderful good news of my eternal salvation thru Christ's death to save me. Some years after I was a teen, I read the Book of Romans that told me that Christ had reconciled me to God because of my sins and given me the gift of everlasting life all because of His Son's death on the cross to save me. (Romans 5:6-11) It is sad that Billy Graham cannot just preach the simple wonderful good news gospel that Christ has already done everything to save us on the cross, all we have to do is just claim our salvation as the benefit of what all He has done.

I don't know much about any of the people on this list, and I feel better for it.

Graham, at least to my limited knowledge, appears far, far, less venal than the others, most of who are nothing more than successful and disgraceful confidence tricksters.

While I am not about to extol Graham's virtues (of which I freely admit I have no more knowledge than of any of his possible sins) he at least conducted himself with a dignity lacking in the others.

I have always loved Billy Graham, my mother inlaw and I went to one of his crusades in portland and really had my eyes opened to the gospel ( this was around the time I got saved about 16 years ago). the altar call was amazing sooo many people went forward to give their hearts and lives to Jesus it was wonderful!. from what I see he is a very good humble man of God and he always preaches from the word of God.

Just another Nicolatian clergyman. Beware of ANY man who stands between you and the Father, that is called an instead of Christ or antichrist. He and his crusades are full of fraud and deception. Most of the people who come streaming down to BG feet are volunteers. I think it is sick to see all the other idolitris preachers grovel at the mention of BG's name. Generally speaking, I would agree with the sentiments of Irishgit. As an agnostic, maybe I have an unrealistic view of religion, but my feeling is that clergymen, particularly those with the prominence of someone like Graham, should be out helping the sick, the poor, the weak, and the afflicted of society. The only images I have of Graham in my memory are those of him playing golf with various Presidents (I believe both he and Nixon shared similar anti-Semetic sentiments). Graham has also been guilty of making silly and grandiose statements over the years; he once said that the majority of people in Houston, Texas, were going to end up burning in hell. Still, compared to guys like Dobson, Falwell, and Robertson, Graham does comport himself with some degree of dignity and restraint. Maybe it's because he's reaching the end of his life, but I get the feeling that he's sincere about his Christianity and perhaps regrets some of what he did or said in the past. That's more than you can say overall about the highly-visible, politically-powerful, and enormously wealthy religious leaders in America today (wouldn't it be great if the clergymen of today were more concerned about hungry children in Apalachia than they were about purple teletubbies?). Also, to give him his due, I've never seen Graham hustling the more oppressed members of his flock for money they can't afford with the rabid and ruthless alacrity of a Robert Tilton or an Oral Roberts. Indeed, Graham actually seems to care at least somewhat about what happens to the people he preaches to, and that's more than you can say for the majority of his money-grubbing, miracle-performing, in-tongues-talking ilk.

Unfortunately, one of the few evangelists completely above reproach in our modern world. One has to wonder if we will ever again see the likes of someone so driven to help others without self-aggrandizement. His organization's openness about financial accountability set the standard by which all others are judged. When you see the Benny Hinn's, the Kenneth Copeland's, the Creflo Dollar's - with their total disdain for opening their books in order to avoid having others scrutinize their wealth - remember the man who did it the right way. In my book, he'll aways be a 5 star. Even though he often sided politically with those who leaned to the right, he still attempted to remain balanced and fair.

I have a little different perspective on Mr. Graham. First off, I was offended by his statement during the service in the National Cathedral for the 9/11 victims, where he said that he was certain that "some" of the victims went to heaven. I mean, honestly, that was just not the time to say a thing like that. Secondly, for several years I served as secretary for Dr. Alesandr Haraszti (it's been a while, I'm not spelling that right) who was the man who helped Mr. Graham get behind the Iron Curtain for his crusades. Dr. H had served Mr. Graham faithfully for years, getting doors opened to him that there was no way Mr. Graham could have done himself. Dr. H. had been a well-respected doctor and scholar in Hungary and was able to open doors for Mr. Graham that made all kinds of things possible. When I met Dr. H, he was in his 80s and had cancer. He had no insurance because he had put aside his practice to help Mr. Graham. He had asked if he could get insurance coverage under Graham ministries to help him since he was so sick. What happened was, the Grahams ruled that since technically Dr. H. hadn't been an employee of the Grahams but was deemed a volunteer, he would not be given coverage or any help. Dr. H and his family were devastated. I was transcribing his book notes for him so he could sell a memoir and maybe get some money but he died before the book was completed. It would have been nothing for the Grahams to help out this man who had helped them so much but instead they turned their backs on him and let him die. That told me everything I would ever need to know about the Grahams and their 'compassion.' This was about the time Franklin Graham was taking over the ministry and I've answered the phone several times at Dr. H's house when Franklin called. Dr. H talked to him and tried to get him to help him out but to no avail. I guess the deal is, when they need you, you're important, but when you have no further use, even an old man is tossed aside. Unbelieveable but totally true. I was there when all this happened.

I think Graham's big appeal is that he's preached for thousands of years and has not one sexual or financial scandal dirtying his reputation. I personally don't have anything against him, I am just very leery of his embrace of freemasonry(If that's true), among other things.

I wanted to say that you all should not be alarmed when you read that Billie Graham is a freemason.(www.cuttingedge.org click on freemasonry corner at the bottom of the page his listing at the lodge as a famous mason.)

He denied it of course and his camp threatens lawsuits to any one that has it on their website hence most of the other sightings of it on line are either blocked or are deliberatly crashed...

Anyway I don;t know why he and the rest of them (Oral Roberts, Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, TBN all of them)don;t just come on out and confess the truth that they are in the Masonic Lodge.

We know that it is written as a punishment to the mother of all harlots(Freemasonry:see www.freemasonrywatch.org)that the voice of the bride of the groom (the church & Jesus ) will no longer be heard in her..(the mother of all harlots -freemasonry)
which means ofcourse that it once was.

Or is it because they also really know that God has called time upon the mother of all harlots Rev 17 v1,v 2 and because God has declared all those that are His to quit her (Rev 18 v23)and they are still in disobedience to Him.?
remaining filthy still? Rev 22v10.

Dont believe me that Freemasonry is the mother of all harlots? (see:freemasonrywatch.org) and there are members from all faiths walks of life - world wide within her. Her 'Christian' members are not just Catholics but JW.s Word of Faith Mormons & Anglicans there is also of course the muslim side of it ;Osama bin laden being a member of it.

Her officers in the Grand Lodges wear her colours of scarlet and purple according to one of the masonic websites(secular)-they are decked in robes of purple and scarlet...

Anyway it is as it is written in the Word of God, all the Kings of the earth have drunken in the wine of her fornication and in her is found slaves (the atlantic masonic slave tradetriangular - masonic iconography/symbol)and the souls of men-the church - the voice of the bridgegroom and the bride....)

Why don;t they just play the part fully as it is written and come clean and come back to Him? If we seperate ourselves unto Him He will revceive us if we confess our sins He is faithful and will cleanse us from all unrightousness.

God has called time upon the mother of all harlots as it is written she has no more slaves in her and God has called those who are His to quit her -( www.ex masons for Jesus) although you would not have known this to be true given the number of the church leaders that are still in her number.

She is no longer profitible hence her 'men of God' practise the old testament rather than the New - tithing and the law rather than Grace and Liberty.

Freemasonry cannot prosper anyone, gone are the days when she did...she is filled with devils and demons and everyfilthy thing.

There is only one job left for her to do she has gone through all that was written of her to do including discoveries of the new world and worlds(space) science, arts medicines computers etc. (in her was found all crafts etc).

In her was found the blood of the prophets (it stretched that far back!!!) the early saints and saints through out history and all those that were slain upon the earth.

Maybe it is a case of 'they that are filthy are filthy still' that s why they are still in the Masonic Lodges...

At least he has a brain, has renounced some of his bigoted claims, is a bridge builder, and is easily the most impressive speaker and thinker in this category. As a side note, the virulent and hysterical Anti-Catholicism from SOME of the hard religious right posters on this site is sickening, retarded, and ignorant. While there are a lot of nice evangelicals, there are some who reinforce each and every single redneck and Bible thumping stereotype there is on a daily basis. The typical cases of "computer balls" spouted out on a free forum by cowardly half -educated cretins and minor league Ian Paisleys.

In one of the newsletters I've read, concerning another individual, someone stated," you should rather be asking, how many souls a person has won for The Lord? ". If you were to make this remark to Billy Graham, you could probably expect a blank stare in return. I have not watched one of his tele-programs in more than a decade, yet I respect him for running the race that apostle Paul spoke of in 1 Corinthians 9:24 and Hebrews 12:1. He has definitely used a gift wisely. I'm, now , off the milk and into the meat of The Word and so, choose to listen to pastors and teachers who go into depth, but, not all are given the same gifts and I'm thankful for the many people he presented to The Lord through his ministry. If he were a pastor of a flock, I would expect more in depth study of The Word. This is the gift he was given and he seems to have done it rather well.Peace! Sharon

Jesus chose His followers from among the Untouchables He chose lowly working men to follow Him and to build His Church Jesus tried to teach the Pharisee, but they heard Him not Jesus knocked on the Pharisee doors and was rejected as an Untouchable No one cares about the Untouchables anymore Conservatives are Pharisees Liberals are Untouchables Republicans are the Pharisees Democrats are sort of Pharisee want a be’s No one represents the Untouchables anymore in our land, the Pharisees are too strong and mean The ones left behind in New Orleans were the Untouchables Pharisees blame the Untouchables for being Untouchable, not themselves

Although I don't have all the facts, I have also heard that he embraces Catholicism, calls the Pope a good person and loves him, and even has Freemason friends. I think Freemasonry has some real new age, Satanic principles in it. It is so sad, but I remember my parents used to love him and used to feel the presence of God through his sermons. He was so full of love and so Godly. But funny, I've heard that he has always leaned towards Catholicism but now he is getting worse. I really hope he finds the truth and doesn't listen to man (the Pope or his negative influences). Plus now days, he is holding to the belief that you don't need Jesus to be saved. All as you have to do is believe in God and you are saved. So that means a Muslim as far as he is concerned, can be a part of the body of Christ. This is all so sad, and I hope God delivers him.

The gold standard by which other ministers should be measured. He has largely resisted the trappings of fame and money, which has become the scourge of so many of the pathetic pastors on TBN. Dr. Graham has been a steady, calm, and reassuring voice for Christians for decades. In short, he walks the walk. Watching most of the Pentecostals on TBN is like watching studio wrestling. Its a wretched shame.
