I listened to this album the other day for the first time in a long while. This is probably Nick Lowe at his gloomiest but for some reason, it is one of my favorites. Dig My Mood is a trio of lounge/country/rock, and not too upbeat but it works on a lot of levels. 'Failed Christian' even though it's a cover is a standout track. Also, 'Man That I've Become' is a track that everybody can relate to if you are ever down.
