Never watched the tv show much. I thought this was a pretty entertaining movie overall. Plenty of suspense followed by some intense action scenes. Special effects were well done for the time.

Great film with a scary ending. Good enough to watch several times, but not all at once. My eyes would burn if I did that and I would start accidentally calling my girlfriend Skully.

The movie added some details to the X-file saga and started a couple of new threads. You must have seen some the X-Files episodes in order to make sense of the movie.

satisfying for fans of the show. wish the alien didnt resemble past movie aliens. scully is soooo cute. god i want her.

I HATE callmetootie. This was a good movie. if you didnt get xfiles the tv show, then why would you care too much about it.

Entertaining film, but I can name several episodes of the series that are much better.

This runs like a really good episode of the series. Ironically, in retrospect, the gradual descent in the quality of the series can be be traced back to around this time, although this movie is one of the best X-Files stories of the 5th season/6th season era. It rather rips-off a lot of other great SF, but it doesn't dwell on it too much and goes right back into a great XF story without slipping too much. Giving Mark SNow a full-fledged orchestra was not necessarily a good idea, and so this score is not as good as his scores for the TV show. Ultimately best appreciated after seeing the major mytharc episodes of seasons 1-5.

This movie was carried solely by the chemistry between mulder and scully. that's how i can watch it. i didn't understand one word of the dialogue (or much else of what was going on, from the bees to the tanker trucks to the bones) the first, i dunno, five times i saw it. but i nevertheless found the inclination to keep watching it.

wow this movie was just great. if you like the tv show then you will like this movie. it has dramma and action and advntur and roamnce and all the good stuff a movie should have. i have this movie on video and watch it so much. and i am still waiting for the sequel. you need to remeber the truth is out there. it really is.

Disapointing, even the tv show was better

Why would you want to make a movie out of a terrible series??? They already tried Lost In Space, and we saw how bad that turned out. The X-Files Movie, is about 2 secret agents who are on a fight to save the future...duh?

In a way, this paranoid TV series was better on the small screen, when there was no expectation of closure every week. But you can't tantalize an audience in a theater and then not deliver. "Fight the Future," was visually great and very exciting in how it didn't deliver but still....If you're a die-hard X-Phile, see it, otherwise, skip it.

How about those TV to movie transfers? You have to see it to believe it. With the normal confusing plot, this X-Files story brings horror to a new level. From the bees coming out of the floor in the dome, to the monsters thawing out in Antarctica, you couldn't ask for more. Out of control mayhem from a couple of agents who really are just asking for it, if you ask me.

This was just lame. There was no real good storyline and it didn't target the images it projected.

This movie was all hype and no substance. The problem with making a movie while a series is on the air, is that you can have no significant character change because they have to return to the same show next season. This left some serious restraints on the movie and made it more of a long episode than a movie.

freaky things happen all the time people! this shows us what can happen. if something weird happens to you know this.....the truth is out there.

The X-Files movie fit in perfectly between the seasons of the series. It allowed a deeper understanding of the conspiracy involving Mulder and Scully. The underlying conspiracy plot coupled with the humor of Mulder and Scully makes this movie a hit.

Just as good as the show (ok, maybe better), I can't wait for more!!
