01/25/2006 | This is a fascinating beautiful movie, with a good story. Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman are georgous together, their characters complex and sympathetic. I strongly recommend this movie to everyone.

11/14/2002 | There are many things I like about this movie. Elizabeth Taylor is absolutely gorgeous, her performance is wonderful, as is Paul Newman's and Burl Ives'. The complexities of a dysfunctional family are shown here, years before the word was even coined. Another thing I like about this film is that it tells the story of a proud southern family without going through all those same old cliches about southerners being rednecks and kissin' cousins. That is offensive and inaccurate.

08/21/2000 | This movie, staring Elizabeth Taylor and Paul Newman, was incredible. Derived from the play by Tennessee Williams. It was inspirational and filled me with a burning desire to live.
Ps. it was Burl Ives who plays Big Daddy

06/05/2000 | Another great classic and an even better read (as usual). Big Momma, Big Daddy, Sister Woman!! How can you not like a movie that uses nicknames like that. Paul's great as usual and Big Daddy does a great job too (whoever that guy was?). Not to forget Elizabeth Taylor.. We're so used to seeing her the way she is now and acting the role of the kinda quirky friend of Michael Jackson it's easy to forget that she was pretty talented and quite a head turner.
