This was a great movie but it was sad when Bambi's mom got shot.

I was about to write a review of the movie, although in my inimitable style it had something to do with strippers and the Golden Banana. I think I'll play nice for a while. Don't blink...Yes, it is a fine movie, well animated, of course, the characters were interesting, wasn't overly sappy, what with ma or dad (can't remember which) dying in the beginning and such, and somewhat funny at times.A very good/great children's movie.

I know this is a beautiful movie. I've seen parts of it. I mean to see the whole thing. There were a lot of people at the exhibit of stills in NY so I realized how many liked it. It was difficult to see them there. I know I would think it was a sad movie. I always have loved the animals in it.

I think this is an okay Disney movie, but not my favorite. I was never really saddened by this movie and I don't know why.

Great story but hard on little kids. You have to be prepared to explain death and that bad things happen sometimes.

Beautifully crafted movie. Tearjerker at the end. Great animation. Disney classic.

Watch when all the animals are getting on the island during the forest fire. When the racoons arrive and the mother starts licking the baby, the baby moves from one side of the screen to the other.

Bambi is by far the best Disney movie made. Unlike the garbage they produce today, this is by favorite children's movie. Many memorable scenes, it reminds me of my youth every time I watch it.

You're kidding, right? "Bambi" is one of Disney's all time classics. I like this even better than the "Lion King". I loved the story, the characters, and the theme of man against nature. A story filled with comedy, love and sadness. One for the family!

This is a beautiful story with superb animation, and you can tell that Walt Disney put a lot of time and love into the making of this one. The only thing is, it just KILLS me when Bambi loses his mother. I can understand that it's a very important part of the film because it's about how life really is in the forest, but it just gets to me. One of the absolute best from Disney.

At the very beginning of the picture the camera moves (or appears to move) through the trees and the changing perspective of the branches gives a "3-D" effect. The sheer beauty of these images is breathtaking. Then the "characters" are introduced. Thumper's delicious southern accent and mannerisms, Flower's modesty ("You can call me Flower if you want to"), and the antics of the minor characters - all combine in a rich mixture of images. And then there is the music - "Little April Showers" - a lovely musical arrangement and superbly sung. And all this without a mention so far of the tear-jerking plot. This wonderful film surely deserves its 5 stars.

Bambi is just plain, one of the worst Disney movies ever made. It is so stupid, and the whole entire plot with a talking deer, and it's just so stupid. Go shoot the deer and burn the video box.

This is one of the best and most memorable of the older Disney animated feature length films. I still go completely misty when I see the part about Bambi's mother. The voice of Thumper is one of the cutest ever used in an animated film. A must-have for any Disney film collector.

One of the most beautiful film I've seen.

A really good one, but it lacks a great story. I loved the characters but the story itself is not one that you'll expect to remember years from now. A nice piece. I'm pretty close to giving it 5 stars but it's just not all there.
