05/06/2007 | A 4 out of 5. A girl named Belle goes to a castle to rescue her father who was imprisoned by Beast. They soon become fond of each other while the rest of the village wants to kill him. Not my favorite Disney movie but its still pretty good with nice animation and music.

03/27/2005 | This is a fun film for children but for those of you who are fairy tale fanatics, it's not for you.
The tale is only loosely based on the well-known classic, as the fairy tale Beauty has 2 sisters whereas the Disney Beauty is an only child. Also, the father of the Disney Beauty is an inventor, not a merchant.
Overall, this is a good family movie but don't be surprised if your kids contradict you if you read them the fairy tale after watching this movie.

10/24/2003 | Although it gets points for a happy ending and good voice acting, this is just another drab and boring Disney tale that drags on for way to long. It is dark for most of the movie, there are hardly any notable touches of comedy and the songs are incredibly annoying.

04/27/2003 | What a terrific Disney movie. If I were to rate my favorite recent Disney animated full length movie it would be this one.Very well done, good songs, funny and romantic. I saw this at the theater with my kids and enjoyed every bit of it. the characters were fun to watch.The talking clocks, and other objects. I loved it when Belle and the Beast found they cared for one another.This movie has some of the best songs. Be Our Guest and the rest. No wonder they turned this into a broadway play.

10/23/2000 | I love them all, but I must say this is my favorite of Disney's animated features. It gives little girls an intelligent "role model" and the moral of the story(it's what's inside that counts) never gets old. Of course, the animation and music are wonderful.
