Another pretty good Disney moive. Ariel is a mermaid who is tired of being overprotected by her father and ends us falling in love with a human. Nice music and some memorable characters make this worth watching.

I remember singing "under the sea" with my class in the third grade to the lower grades. We were a big hit.

I really like Little Mermaid, there are some really good songs in this movie like "part of your world", "kiss the girl", and "under the sea".  There are some good characters like Sebastain the crab.

Just what we need our kids to be watching: a cartoon mermaid showing some cleavage.

Great music. Good fun. Clean enjoyable entertainment

i loved it i think it had cool songs and the voices when great and werent oddly off and i dont think it ment that u should disobay ur father its jus u have to go for what u think is right even if it means ur father would get mad cuz even they can be un reasonable i liked the crab he was cool

Little Mermaid was my favorite movie growing up. It's got great music, it's fun, and wonderful characters. However, the only reason why I didn't rate this a 5 is because of a message to the movie. If you disobey your father, then you will get what you want. But it doesn't stand out.

As most of you have gathered from my weblist, I'm a huge, unabashed Disney fan. This is truly my favorite and one of the best in my opinion. A sweet story paired with fantastic, unique voicework that brought to life unforgettable characters. And who can forget the wonderful, fun music? I will admit sometimes Disney films are blandly entertaining but this one had the spunk and fun to reach many age groups, creating a lasting cartoon classic.

Cartoon cleavage in a kids' movie???

One of my family's favorite films. Well done in every way. Great songs, and the villains are great too. We have watched this many times and never get tired of it.

I would give this about a 4.5. After over decade of not making very good animated movies, Disney had a hit with this movie. A mermaid named Ariel becomes fasinated with a world outside of the sea.She collects stuff she finds from the bottom of the sea and wishes she could see the outer world. She sees Eric a young man who she instantly likes. after a fire on a ship Arriel rescues Eric she goes to a sea Witch so she can get legs and live on shore. in return she has to give up her beautiful voice. The witch says if Arriel does not kiss Eric within a few days she loses her voice forever. This movie has some great songs. like Part of your world. under the sea, Kiss the Girl. Sebastian the crab is especially good. a very good family movie.

I use to watch the movie everyday

This is the best movie disney did along with Lion king. I have seen it 50 times and love all the songs. The best disney movies 1. Little mermaid 2. Lion kind and Aladian ...a tie 3. Toy story2

The Little Mermaid was an extremly great movie until they created this stupid sequel, and it totally ruined the fact that the first one was so good.

This one comes close to five stars but it's just not a masterpiece. Great characters, nice songs, nice story. But not entirely captivating.

This movie came out when I was in junior high school and I loved it. I loved the songs. I loved the name Ariel. I loved the mermaids. I, of course, didn't admit this to anyone.
