Cosmo is a fun read when you're in the mood for light reading and candy-coated bedroom tips. Except maybe a bit racy to read on the plane or other public places. I wonder how much of the content is regurgitated each month. If you've looked at their kama sutra guide and read one or two of their guides, you've pretty much seen it all. The rest is reinforcement through repetition. There are way better sex guides. But I give Cosmo credit for making sex talk so clean, girlie, sugary, and shareable.

I really don't think this one is qualified to be called a women's magazine, it's more for curious and love-crazy girls in the late teens. The only way I can qualify this to be an adults's magazine is the ability of the content to trigger some serious good laughs in both men and women, especially on the hot topics such as "how to lure a man of your dream"

Not fair for a guy like me to rank a women's mag- but I used to love paging through this because my old girlfriend had a subscription.  I'd laugh out loud at the sex tips.  Two stars for that.  Too bad the relationship didn't last.

There is nothing new or exciting about this magazine. It's predictable, and the tips they were featured two volumes ago, just regurgitated. Whoever writes this crap ...has no clue about the male psyche. At least that's my opinion.

As a man, the covers attracts you because they always have a beautiful women on front, usually with cleavage very visible. Other than that, the articles are usually sex-related (how to seduce your guy in 15- minutes; 20 tips on how to spice up your sex life; How to have your man lusting for you again, etc.) I guess we're just all animals wandering around looking for a dog in heat according to this mag. Look, I enjoy sex very much, but it can't control our lives (can it?).

This magazine is way too much about sex. Its like reading a playboy but, for women. seriously, there is much more to being a women than having sex, thinking about sex, talking about sex, and reading about sex. i hate this mag. it needs to change its format already.

About two years ago I made fun of people who read this. Then I read it. Man I love this magazine. Too bad I was ignorant to it for so long, I missed so many issues , and sex hints, and make-up hints, and true confessions and, and, and. Why oh why did I wait so long to pick this up. Ok, ok it isnt thought provoking and there is alot of please your man and yourself stuff but not everything you read has to be enlighting.

I give cosmo a five star rating because it taught me things about my body, sex, relationships and anything that my mom wasn't comfortable enough to tell me. if it wasn't for cosmo i wouldn't have had the courage to tell my past few boyfriends that i wouldn't sleep with them unless we used protection (*i'm still a virgin and am now single, but better off for it*) or most importantly until i was good and ready. I learned what questions to ask my doctor about things that were going on in my body. How to protect myself and what my rights as a woman are. That i deserve a man who will make me happy, however that doesnt mean that i am not capable of making myself happy. It's helped me accept that it will be alright for me to say yes to sex... when i'm ready and with protection of course. Most importantly it re-enforces that women may be different from men but they are equals. My mother would have never told me these things until... well now, but i've needed to know these things in the past. It's not that my mom doesn't love me, she just doesn't realize that i've grown-up faster than she did.

I've been reading Cosmo for years. The past few years almost every article is about sex. Good God, how much can we read on the same topic? The articles are so similar in content month after month! Why don't they throw in an article about something else amid the smut? They have things in this magazine that are so far fetched I can't imagine anyone doing them. I love the advertising, it keeps me up on what's new.

This magazine is very self-explanatory. It's not claiming to be intelligent or ambitious. It's goal is not to further the feminist movement. It's there to offer women happy fluff to read about like clothes and sex ideas. Don't women have enough to stress over these days? This magazine gives them an out. And please, it's fun and entertaining. It doesn't need to be deeper than that. I love it.

I find the cover blurbs really freightening. The scheming, conspiring and conniving that women will do just to seduce us! Shocking, I tell you! Tried to read it once many years ago. Went right to the gynocology column, figuring this would be really good. It was, at least until I got to the "cottage cheese-like discharge..." Me and the magazine flew in opposite directions. Me and The Magazine still sleep in differnt rooms.

According to this magazine, my main goals in life as a woman are to 1. Dress like a hooker. 2. have at least one screaming orgasm a day. 3. Drink trendy fru-fru drinks regardless of how horrible a hang-over they leave. 4. Give my man a hand-job under the table at the In-laws at least once a holiday, or until I dump him for the newest flavor of the week. 5. Cruise all the hip nightclubs in above-said hooker gear with other like-minded slut friends in pursuit of hot horny boy-toys who will worship me for the ho-bag I am. 6. Take the chosen boy-toy home, call in sick at my hopelessly hip office exec-ala- Demi-Moore-in-Disclosure-job and boink our brains out for two days. 7. Eat "sexy" foods like bratwurst and chocolate ice-cream while maintaining a size 4. 8. Throw lavish dinner parties with lots of "name-brand" wine and hunky artist dudes who will go home and boink my like-minded slut friends at the end of the night. 9. Spend 3 hours a day slathering almond-oil and $300 a tube squid poop in a bottle on my face to maintain that freshly f***ed look all day. 10. Call all my friends when Mr. Right dumps me for being a psychotic nympho and spend the rest of the week blasted on Xanax and Haagen Daas while watching Sex and the City re-runs. Hey, I didn't invent this magazine! God help the female sex. God help us all.

Okay, I have mixed feelings about Cosmo. I remember the good ole days when my mom threatened to rip out all the "bad pages" and then give it back to me. Fortunately for me, that never happened, but I have caught on to a recurring pattern. I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but doesn't it seem like they use the same sex secrets every single issue, month after month? I mean, come on, how many positions can there possibly be? How many ways can you "wow" your man? I do like the Confession section, though, and I like their articles.

My biggest complaint with this magazine, and most women's magazines, is the half-naked women on the cover. If men's magazines have women on the cover, shouldn't women's magazines have attractive men on the cover? Who is really the audience anyway? I would also love to see more intelligent reading material on the stands for all readers.

I have had a subscription for about a year now and I plan on being a subscriber for a LONG time. I like this magazine a LOT better than Glamour, which I also have a subscription to. For one thing, Cosmo doesn't force breast cancer stories down your throat like Glamour does. The articles are also more entertaining. No magazine can show off the latest sex positions like Cosmo can. Of course, it's not ALL about sex. There's also articles about work, makeup, celebs, and men. Oh, and I can't forget Cosmo Confessions. I just can't get enough of those! One last note: my ultra-religious grandmother steals my Cosmos from me. Can you believe it?

I find this magazine soooooo funny! It's a Jackie Collins novel masquerading as a self-help magazine; pure trash, purely stupid and about two inches from pure camp. Actually, I'd rather read Jackie Collins - at least she wasn't trying to convince anyone she was offering anything OTHER than rubbish.

I purchase this magazine occasionally at the store and I used to really enjoy it. But at the same time I felt bad about myself after reading it. I am not taking a class on language, communication and gender and I am only now learning about how women's magazines encourage us to lose weight, cater to men, and make ourselves look better. Cosmo does have some interesting articles but too many of these ads!

Cosmopolitan is one magazine that is worth the $4 that magazines are now. Sorry about the price reference, it has nothing to do with the magazine, I just love reading magazines and the $4 puts a damper on getting like 3. So anyways, back the Cosmo. It is a great magazine. It has tons of articles for all interests. It has movie/book/music reviews, articles about men (how to please them, how to get them to love you, how to try new positions, all that have never worked for me), fashion news, entertainment news, social news, and much more. It is full of content and I am interested in most of the contents.

You've got to love a magazine with such cover stories as "The Big O," "Sex in your Office Cubicle" and interesting and complex quizzes to take with your spouse (that is, if you want to get in a fist fight). I used to read it in college and was always rather entertained. Full of interesting articles, sometimes somewhat shallow, but entertaining.
