Is this a woman's magazine? I always thought it was a magazine by Oprah, about Oprah, for Oprah. I guess it could also be interesting to other black, female, billionaire, media magnates from Illinois.

Considering this magazine is on the high end of the price range, you would expect much, much less advertising within its pages. But that is not the case. Although the articles are great, and the slant of mag is toward "self-improvement", I don't think enriching Oprah's already massively wealthy empire is the way to self-improvement via 2 pages of "breathing space" which you will need as you flip through hundreds of uninteresting ads! The whole time I am reading through the magazine, and flipping through the hundred ads to get the each article, I think not only did I overpay for this huge magazine that probably has taken the lives of many trees, but how much Oprah is ALSO getting from all those advertisers! Now, that is the kind of business advice she should include, which I would pay $28 a year for!!!

Topical jargon... And a ton of Advertisments..Just like, well, the vast majority of womens magazines. Magazines that are packed so full of waisted paper that they become too thick to roll up and swat a bug arent magazines. They are Catalogs. Shelling out a $9.95-ish monthly payment to have a bunch of corprations compile ads and glue 'em together, no thanks, Late night infomercials are more plesant and dont leave your hands smelling like 20 different sents that smell like "summer flowers or White Diamonds(who figured out what diamonds smelled like?)"..Oh and your also 1 of billions of people asisting "the O" remain the richest woman on the planet. Smart women, sucker fanatics..

Considering the massive volume of drivel in publications, O is a refreshing change of pace. While I'm in my early 20s and don't feel that it's really targeted towards my age group, I feel that I'm beginning to search for a career and I enjoy some of the "love thyself" advice. It's presented beautifully, well done, and photography is great. For ladies magazines, Marie Claire, and Oprah are top choice!

A collective of boring, pretentious articles and the miscellaneous rantings of the pied piper of American women.

Oprah is a good magazine. It has some nice articles in it. I have enjoyed it so far. My only complaint is there are way too many advertisements. It seems like I have to keep turning the pages until I finally get to a real article.

This is a wonderfully informative for women of all ages. It bases alot of it's features on how to please yourself, and NOT how to "please your man". After reading this magazine, you'll have a hard time going back to the old, phony's like Cosmo, or Glamour, which are pathetic excuses for women's magazines, with their not-so-positive articles for women of this millenium.

I love this magazine. It makes you feel like changing yourself for the better. It's very inspiring. The ads are beautiful. The quality of the paper is wonderful.

Is Oprah trying to tell me that I will find enlightment/a better life if I buy a $145 US dog leash? GET REAL! I like Oprah, but this mag sucks. Please don't waste your three bucks.
