Possibly the worst piece of trash ever printed...what's so alternative about it? I love how slipknot is on every other cover. Followed by what ever numetal hogwash group is popular that month.

Great magazine. 100 bands you need to know issue was so valuable to me as a music lover. A.P. helps me discover new talented bands who arent played on the radio or MTV. They write about bands first and everyone else seems to follow

Great coverage for music other than pop. Alternative, punk, underground and all other great musics. Gothic, industrial and others no have a magazine to go to.

AP has a bit of that complex that the mag Raygun had (is that still around even?) -- where the busy graphical design makes reading the magazine awkward. Still I tend to be interested in their reviews, though I think the magazine suffers a bit from being frozen-in-1995 when the term alternative was all abuzz. Ahh, the good old days of the Breeders and Guided by Voices, right?
