A complete departure from the Halloween series. A fairly entertaining horror movie it it's own right but a big letdown for fans of the first two. Three stars for original plot concept. Hard to get the sing-song riff out of your head afterwards.

it's not a good movie by any means but ometimes something can be so bad that you start to like it...thats how i feel about this piece of trash......it's the sort of movie you watch late at night when your brain has stopped functioning and you just wish you could fall asleep.

I wasted my time watching this crap, what did it have to do with the rest of the other movies? Dumb concept of people buying these masks that make peoples heads turn into snakes and insects when they watch a commercial or show that the bad people in the movie make.  The only mention of Michael Myers is a commercial of the original Halloween on tv while the main character is tied up watching the program that is supposed to activate the mask.

No Michael? No thanks.

It didn't make any sense, really. The creators had a good idea, but it should have been more developed.

I would definitely agree with most of the opinions here about this film. This movie never should have been called "Halloween 3" at all because, as many here have mentioned...no Michael Myers and no ties whatsoever to that whole story of young teens being terrorized in Haddonfield, Ill. I would also have to disagree, however, with those that think that it's a decent movie when it's not judged within the context of the Michael Myers movies. Let's assume it wasn't called "Halloween 3" at all and that it was given an entirely different name. It's still not a good movie, people. It's just that simple.

What the F*** was Carpenter thinking when he spun the series in this direction. He didn't just change direction with this turd, he totally derailed the franchise. The worst horror movie ever.

This movie was the worst movie ever!!! It shouldn't really even be included in the Halloween Michael Myers series. This movie didn't make any sense what so ever.

This was the worse of the series. No micheal myers what so ever and has nothing to do with the series.

A true horror movie that made me sick to my stomach. It wasn't because of blood and gore, it was the whole thing about killing children on Halloween. The movie is just sick...

When I watched this So called halloween ilm I was thinking to my self where in the name of god is michael myeres this movie had a verry stupid plot to it to an irish maniac wants to kill kids I mean come you are way better of watching the first two then watching this really stupid crap that is soooooooo anoying.

This one doesn't have a thing to do with Michael Myers, and it sucks. But it doesn't suck because he's not in it, it sucks because it sucks! I mean, it's really bad. It's not scary, it's just plain bad. The people who made this film must have had some serious issues with children. It didn't scare me at all, just left me with a bad feeling.

I know I'll get critised for saying it but I really enjoyed this one. So what if it hasn't got Michael Myers in it. Those ideas had run their course. Shame about halloween 4, 5, 6......

I respect what John Carpenter was trying to do here, but it kind of fell short. He was trying to do something no horror series has ever done. Taken the title and kept giving it different stories and none of them conecting but with a running theme...HALLOWEEN! This movie might have faired better as its own movie rather than a sequel for a Michael Myers hungry fan based series. A very original concept, but done kind of low standard. In other words, it could have been lots better. Still, it manages to be a cruel and unusual sci-fi horror film. It was a very unconventional story that you can tell was handled like a regular horror flick. Could have been really good.

What the hell were they thinking??? I saw this movie assuming I would get to see Myers in action.Instead I get a stupid movie about halloween masks and the most annoying count down to Halloween ever!

Although we don't get to see Micheal in this movie, who in fact has gone under a deep coma, you can find ways to enjoy this otherwise chilling 3rd in the sereis.

I'm guessing that the original Nigel Kneale script was potentially one of the best horror movies ever. Then it was tainted with typical stalk-and-slash nonsense by other writers and Kneale had his name removed. Tragic. It still has visceral impact though, and rises to be almost equal to - though far different than - the original Halloween.
