rick moranis and singing plants? no thank you.

Funny movie. I did not want to see this when it was at the theater because i was not sure if it would be any good. I am glad I finally watched it. Rick Moranis is perfect as Seymour the nerdy flower shop worker who found a strange and unusual plant. the plant turns out to only survive on human blood. As gruesome as this sounds this is a funny movie. Steve Martin is hilarious as the nasty dentist who loves to hurt his patients. Ellen Greene is great as Audrey. I love most of the songs. this movie is set in the 1960s so a lot of the music is 60s style. the only part I do not like as much is toward the end this plant really gets nasty.

I am sorry but I laughed AT this one. Just too stupid to buy the plot...there is no suspension of belief ...this movie just doesn't sell it. ;-(

A great and funny movie.

It proves that you can in fact remake a movie, and do so here, as Rick Mornanis takes on Jack Nicholson's old role as a young man working at a plant shop, that creates a singing plant, that is really an alien from outer space that eats people. It sounds goofy, but it is a really fun musical, and has some really good motown hits in it.

This is about a singing blood thirsty plant and the timid man (Rick) who feeds him. Campy songs and a very annoying lead female role, but the psycho dentist redeems everything.

Really, really, really cheesy special effects. Although it was slightly entertaining, I guess those effects are what make the movie so cute.

I love the music in this movie. YeAH!

A pretty funny movie with good songs. Bill Murray and Steve Martin are both good in their small roles and Rick Moranis does a nice job.
