Music Man 5

One of my favorites. The score is excellent and Robert Preston and Shirley Jones are super in the lead roles. Paul Ford, Herminne Gingold, Buddy Hackett, Pert Kelton, and little Ronnie Howard do a fine job in support of the two stars.

My second favorite musical of all-time(Grease being #1). Great story line and the songs are some of the best ever in a musical. Heck, even the Beatles did a take on the song "Till There Was You". Probably has the most songs used in a musical. Even basic conversation is set to musical. (i.e. the train scene in the beginning, and the ladies talking about Marian - "pick-a-little, talk-a-little") Probably the only musical where I can't pick a favorite "music" performance. Too many good ones. Most musicals leave me with one particular song/scene that I continue to sing and think about, this one has given me too many. ("Trouble", "Marian", "Shipoopi", ect...)

When I was in 6th grade. Me and my Chorus/Drama class had to watch this. The movie, script, and characters were o.k.

This is my favorite musical, and I don't really like musicals. Robert Preston and Shirley Jones were both great in this movie. A very young Ronnie Howard was also in the movie. In my opinion, a Classic!

The Music Man is my favorite musical. Robert Preston just bursts with energy. The movie is terrific from the clever opening song on the train to the end. Shirley Jones was great too what a wonderful voice she had. The movie had a great roster of charactr actors- Paul Ford, Pert Kelton, Hermione Gingold, ,Buddy Hackett and Charles Lane. Plus, let's not forgett Ronnie Howard.

I am a big musical fan. and The Music Man is one I have loved watching since childhood. Robert Preston is perfect as Harold Hill. Shirley Jones was good too. Ronnie Howard was just adorable. the tunes are clever. I do not think I will ever be able to sing along to "You've got Trouble"LOL A good movie about a con artist who tries to sell the idea of boys bands with the think method. Falls in love with the piano teacher.

This movie is cute, but sort of long. It's good for little kids, but not all that interesting. It is very nice looking, and the songs are all good. It is a nice adaptation of a play to movie.
