Pretty good but it is a long wait to hear White Christmas! Wonderful look at Rosemary Clooney in her prime.

Sorry, but this is one of my favorite holiday movies and it contains my favorite Christmas Song, White Christmas. Nobody sang it better than Bing Crosby.

When will these sugary old-farty musicals end? Please! This movie is way too cheesy for my tastes. The singing made me ears hemmorhage! Bing Crosby is a terrible singer and not good to look at. Overall, this musical is as fun as anencephaly.

A pretty lame bit of fluff, a sugar-coated diversion to doze off too after too much turkey and holiday cocktails. As typical of an Irving Berlin opus, most of the songs suck. The plot is implausible, pat and ridiculous, just another take on the Hey kids, let's put on a show crap. The male leads are just so-so: Bing Crosby, the most successful no-talent in American entertainment history (next to his old cohort and fellow snooze Skinose Hope), sleepwalks through this one, as usual, and Danny Kaye, a better comic actor and dancer who also sings fairly well, has to strive mightily to counterbalance Bing's dead wood. Unfortunately, the result is Kaye's performance is a tad frenetic and over-the-top sometimes, but you can hardly blame him. Vera-Ellen doesn't do much in this flick but move around a little bit and look good, but she sure does look good. Rosemary Clooney sings well, acts fairly lamely, but looks quite bosomy. Dean Jagger plays his typical sourass old man bit, so his performance isn't much of a stretch. This film seems awfully oldfashioned for the year it was produced (1954), kinda a dinosaur of the pre-rock and roll era.

One of my holiday favorites! The story is sweet and fitting for the time period in which it is set, the characters are delightful and funny and the songs are magnificent. I watch this every Christmas and it makes me appreciate both the holiday and the timeless immortality of classic films.

I agree completely with Leis -- one of the best ever music movies. The music is good, and the story is heartwarming. The Christmas season just isn't the same for me if I don't manage to catch this movie! The actor who plays the general, can't remember his name, is wonderful and the scene at the end with the reunion of many of his men makes me cry every time!

It does have a few good numbers, but most of the movie is immature and childish.

I always have to watch this movie at Christmas. Rosemary Clooney and Bing Crosby have amazing voices and harmonize beautifully. They're able to add some humor and dancing to the movie too.

This holiday classic rocks! Who wouldn't agree that this Bing Crosby classic is one of the best ever music movies. The songs are great and timeless. The acting in the film is superb. The great thing about White Christmas is that it is one of those movies that all ages can enjoy.

I grew up on this movie and my mother always sings SITERS when my sister and I get into a fight!
