 | minkey (40) 07/08/2007 | I liked this place. It's the pyramid hotel, so if you're on one of the higher floors the views of the casino floor are pretty cool. It's a little erie that the railings on each floor are only a few feet high though; a stumbling drunk might easily find his demise after a long hard fall on a slot machine. The rooms are cool and again since you're in a pyramid, the windows are slanted and it makes for a different sort of layout. Waiting on the elevator can be irriating though - some floors can only be accessed by one elevator and you'll be looking at a 10 or 15 minute wait. I would stay here again, it's a nice part of the strip with the mgm right across the street and new york new york next door.

 | BlueOrchid (43) 01/25/2006 | I had so much fun at that hotel even if we only rented a room there. I went there during my easter break (gee, what a lovely place to go during your EASTER break).

 | Dave Lindseth (0) 12/01/2004 | Staffs generally are helpful. A few customer representatives lack customer appreciation value and respect. Several faxed letters to lower and upper management none replied to. Non-smoking signs not displayed in rooms or on floor levels. Luxor Hotel is not a non-smoking friendly place. Why are ashtrays in bedroom drawers? Smokers had used several Non-smoking room on non-smoking floor. Advised hotel smoker was on our floor nothing done about it. Alternative rooms offered were of the same air quality. Very good value for money room size yet rooms now tacky. Damaged bathroom tile taped up. Bathroom corners not sealed and gaps. Bath short yet large in water volume. Sense of spacious feeling to this hotel. Damaged paintwork not repaired. Air con not cleaned and blows dusty. It feels a secure hotel. Nice pool. Seating of Restaurant Buffet not coping with peak hotel demands. Hotel at far end of the strip. Air rating in casino about 2nd best. We will not return again to this hotel. Was given 3 sets of key cards that did not work in room door locks. Front automatic doors failing to open. Room can be used if you are wiling to continue to spray room. Ask house keeping to refrain from spraying room with air freshener which can cause throat irritation if air way sensitive. Lift in East block reported as defective took a day to take out of service. Other lift buttons in East wing latching was erratic. House keeping do a good cleaning job. Yet house keeping not constant on times. A few tables are non-smoking. Mandalay bay buffet slightly more expensive yet better surroundings and better range, brighter surroundings and better quality of food. Ceiling had two ceiling stain watermarks. Taped up damaged tile in bathroom. Luxor needs requires paintwork over haul. Rooms are a fair size value for money.

 | frogger20190 (3) 08/12/2004 | Of all the hotels I've stayed at in Vegas, this is my favorite.
Great layout (casino is at the base of the pyramid--a square, so it's easy to find your way around); nice choice of restaurants (and a good fast food court); great pools (COLD water!); cool rooms [inside the pyramid, I have not stayed in the tower]

 | TaxNSpend (0) 07/28/2004 | Great hotel! One thing, though: it is poorly laid out in the sense that it is hard to get from one place to another.

 | sfalconer (22) 06/28/2004 | The Luxor is conviently located between the Mandaley Bay and Excalibur. All three hotels are connected by a tram which goes back and forth. There are lots of things to do at the Luxor but the must see is the Blue Man Group which is great and expensive but well worth the money as you will be entertained.

 | leon_phelps (0) 03/03/2004 | I think this hotel has been my favorite of all that I have stayed in during my trips to the city. Very nice rooms (especially in the pyramid itself), great casino, very nice pool complex. The Egyptian theme was also really nice for a change of scenery while losing your money. Don't forget to ask for room upgrades, if they have an empty suite, they will usually put you in it for no additional cost. The first time out I got bumped up to a suite larger than my entire house for the cost of a single. Until that trip I've never had a phone in the bathroom or a widescreen TV on hydraulics. This plan works better in the off season.

 | ridermage (0) 01/17/2003 | I stayed here for five nights and loved it! The theming was great, the casino was neat and the rooms were fantastic! I'd love to try another hotel, but I enjoyed this one so much, I'd hate not to revisit!
