I stayed here on a whim in June 1999, knowing nothing about Las Vegas or its hotels. The Stardust is divided up into older, drab bungalows and the newer, glitzier main tower. My friend and I were given a room in the 1950's bungalow section. After I woke up from a nap, I saw a HUGE cockroach by the door. Not being fond of cockroaches, I went to the front desk and (very nicely) informed them. I was then upgraded to an oversized room on the top floor of the tower. I could lay in bed and see the entire Strip dozens of floors down below. Great view! I would not stay there again, but it was a very average stay at an older desert hotel.
