Bernie Williams, when he retires, deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Career 300 hitter. Championship pedigree. Multiple gold gloves and All-Star appearances. Batted clean-up during those yankee championship years. But it won't happen.

Bern-baby-bern...Under-rated and a key to the Yankees success from 96-00...unfortunately, he emerged late and faded fast, and needed a few more seasons of high production to get into Cooperstown.

Bernie is the BEST all around player even though he is fighting age and injuries he can still go out on the field and make impossible things happen.

Bad fielder. Inconsistent hitter of late.

With the addition of many other power hitters to the yankees, I see Bernie is going to step up his game and make the Yankees just about UnBeatable..Let's Go Yankees!!!! Check out my weblist: Yankees vs Boston Rivalry..its gonna be a good one this yr

Bernie Williams did so much for the Yankees during the playoffs and the World Series. He seems like such a lay-low kinda guy, you never know what to expect with him. Put a bat in his hands with runners on base and you got a good chance of that winning run. He is a good baseball player and deserves everything he earns.

Bernie Williams is the best-rounded Yankee and one of the best all-around players in all of baseball today. He has great range as a fielder, he hits with power from both sides, and he does it all without the fanfare of other superstars.

batting champion of 2003!!!

Bernie Williams is an excellent player. His election to the all-star team the past couple years have been deserved by Bernie. He is a very good offensive centerfielder, almost always hitting 25+ home runs, having 100+ RBIs, and batting over .300. He also gets 200+ hits. Also, the gold gloves Williams has won are definitely deserved as well. He can run down a fly ball like no centerfielder I've seen. He has uncanny speed, although not the greatest base runner. He is an amazing all-around player, both defensively and offensively. He is my favorite outfielder in the entire league.

Bernie Williams is the silent and deadly leader of the New York Yankees. He takes after his mentor, the great (and should be in the Hall of Fame) Don Mattingly--he's not flashy, he just shuts you up by his great bat and awesome defense. All these so-called experts who say that Bernie does not have great defense should take their reports and shove them way up their arse! The man has only won 4 Gold Gloves--he's made one spectacular catch after another plus he is, without a doubt, the Yankees best hitter and most clutch. He deserves more respect--besides how many outfielders today can match Bernie' numbers and include 4 WS rings, a ALCS MVP, and a batting title. . .NONE!!

Best outfielder ever

While he doesn't possess the instincts of a natural baseball player, he has become one of the top players in the league. He is a great fielder, can hit for power and average, and can fly (few players can go from first to third faster than him). And, unlike many other players, he still had a tremendous year even after signing a monster contract.
