 | musicprof (1) 10/21/2005 | 10 years ago I would have given this mag 6 stars! Now 1 is 1 too many. This mag used to make fun of mags that are what this one has become.
Movieline is a watered down, Hoover-vacuum sucking, brown-nosing rip-off of Life& Style crossed with Us Weekly. Don't Bother

 | jgls (12) 12/23/2003 | this used to be one of my favorite magazines until they changed the format. when i got the last issue i was at page 60 before i found anything that interested me.

 | Todd Parker (0) 12/17/2003 | I had a subscription to Movieline. Then, one day, it turned into Movieline's Hollywood Life and had all these articles about boring celebrities and what clothes they wear and sh-t like that. Needless to say, I won't be renewing.

 | kyes (0) 09/16/2001 | i subscribed to this magazine thinking it would be mostly reviews. but it seems to concentrate a lot on starlet interviews, which i don't particularly care for.

 | Plumpbottom40 (0) 05/09/2001 | Movieline is one of those magazines that always challenge what Hollywood thinks. I think it has wonderful writing and the interviewers dare to ask stars questions that other magazines don't begin to cover. The reason I gave it four stars is because, like unkystan, I think it has lost its edge a little. But it has a true reverence for cinema history and some of the features like its "100 Most" list and "XY Files" can be so fun and provacative! Another problem I have with this magazine is that (more often than not) it would rather have the likes of people like Jennifer Love Hewitt and Melissa Joan Hart on its covers than valid actors like Kevin Spacey and Jodie Foster. But as far as entertainment mags go, this one is by far the freshest that I have ever read!

 | callmetootie (4) 04/05/2001 | Movieline is an extremly boring and lousy magaizne. Although some of the subjects can be interesting, the writers don't cover what Enetrtainment Weekly dig up, and Movieline has some pretty bad editors. The only really good thing about this magazine is that is doesn't waste the whole topic on articles and stupid ads.

 | unkystan (0) 03/06/2001 | Movieline used to be great. It was a cutting edge, take no prisoners magazine. If something was ridiculous they said so. They didn't buy into Hollywood hype. Now it's just another kiss-up Premiere type rag.
The only good parts lately are the XY Files and the recently discontinued Bad Movies We Love. What we need is the old format where there were deflated egos to spare, not fashion tips

 | jmaster (0) 12/13/2000 | Includes many reviews, but too many advertisements. This is my guidebook before I watch any movies in theaters. Nine out of ten were accurate. When they say this film is good, it has a 90% chance of being really good.

 | dancingdr (0) 12/12/2000 | I really like this magazine because everytime I read it, it has things about the movies. It tells what the movie is about and the things that were accidents in the movie, so if you decide to see the movie you'd be able to understand some things better, and you get to appreciate it more.

 | Fooko (0) 12/11/2000 | This magazine needs improvement because the writing sucks. They need to be more clear on what they are saying or talking about. They also have to choose better topics.
