Would like to see him pitch more than one inning two days in a row. Very fragile.

Starting to slack off a little bit but still a legitimate closer.

Dominant closer!

This guy's fun to watch. My dad and I went to the Phillies - Expos game a couple weekends ago to check out the new stadium and (hopefully) to get a look at our new closer in action. It turned out to be a ridiculous game. Billy came in for the top of the 9th, with the score tied, and he looked confident out there. He has a huge stride to the plate and gets the job done quickly. He promptly took care of the first 3 batters he faced and we ended up winning with a walk-off homer (Doug Glanville) in the bottom half. Billy will help Thome to carry the Phillies to the World Series this year. You heard it here first.

Is there any doubt? Look for the Phillies to win the NL East.

You don't have to be a fan of his team to know that Billy Wagner is the most intimidating closer in the game today. Personally, I think he has better stuff than Nen, Hoffman, or Rivera, no disrespect to any of them.

What is with the folks who are showing so little respect for closers. Only two in the top 20 (at this time), and Wagner rated this low. Last year he had one of the best years for a closer ever. And, to be honest, I could care less about the Astros.
