I enclose a five minute chat from TakiMag showing how the Indian government has remained level headed about this attack as opposed to the USA reaction after 9/11. I suppose you could call this the anti-war conservative position of which I am a member.

I heard on the newscast that they still don't know of a motive for these attacks. But it doesn't take a scholar to figure it out. Their main purpose for this was to seek out Americans and the British. Unless it's business, and I mean important business, I can't understand why anyone would want to go overseas or anywhere out of their homeland.

These attacks were apparently carried out with the kind of skill and precision not normally seen in terrorists. There is speculation that the attack came from Pakistan, either directly ordered (which seems unlikely) or from rogue elements in their military or security services.
Tensions between Pakistan and India are never far from the breaking point, and this event could be a spark intended to start a war. If so, given the military capabilities of both nations, its likely to be very ugly. And given that both are nuclear powers, extremely dangerous.

Magellan has a very good point. This shocking attack on India's finacial and cultural capital does not look like a conventional terrorist attack to me. The usual M.O. for fundamentalist Islamic terrorist attacks are usually suicide bombings. This is not the case here. Also, they usually don't take hostages like they have in this situation.

This is sounding horrific. It sounds less like a terrorist attack than a full on military assault with heavily armed fighters converging on the city. Insane.
