Apparently I'm in the minority in thinking that the Lost World was a better book than Jurassic Park. For some reason this book about visiting the old facility on the previously unknown island was just more interesting to me. I also liked the addition of the dinosaurs that could change colors. I admit that it wasn't as fast paced as Jurassic Park, but I thought it allowed for better story development.

Although the first book was much better, this was a great book. Michael Crichton wrote what I think is the best seires(Jurassic Park and LW) ever written, and it should be at the top of the list with all of Michael Crichton books!

Unlike the first book(Jurassic Park), Lost World was much slower paced and it gave room to wander about and get bored at times. It did develop some interesting ideas though, such as the lack of diversity as countries become more "Westernized", and the issue of seizing the moment, the joy of breathing and feeling.

The Lost World is a great follow up to Jurassic Park. I gave this novel a four because it's not as good as the first one. It is also a little bit of a retread, but overall it is great. It's also fifty times better than the movie.

Not as interesting as the first one. Good plot. Plausible science.

While this is a good author, I totally disliked the book and the style in which it was written.

Read like a movie script, not a novel.
