It was a good book, but I think Crichton is at his best when his writing leans more towards science fiction.

Crichton does a walk through on this one. By no means his worst, it clearly had the potential to be so much better. Much the same can be said for most of Cricton's writing. He is almost the poster boy for early success ruining a good writer.

Pretty good for any writer, but I think Michael Crichton can do better. The movie sucked and it sort of ruined the book for me, but it still was a thrilling read.
