The Tombs is a very good little bar. Kind of the Cheers of G'Town. It is mainly a GU bar, but go for a sandwich and a draft at lunchtime and you'll be happy as well. They serve no bottled beer. This is a major factor in its not receiving a 5.

Tombs is located in Georgetown and has good bar food, and a true bar ambience in its basement location. However, it is very popular and quite crowded. A wait is usually needed to get served.
