Yeah, that's an inspired idea. What brilliance. Perhaps it'll work as well as the last time we did it. Flash back to 1986 when an amnesty was granted. It was supposed to be one million but turned out to be three. The idea was clear the backlog of illegals here, step-up border security, and voila, problem solved. Flash forward 23 years. Now California is heading into bankruptcy, the Los Angeles Unified School District graduates a little over half its students, and we're told that conservative estimates of the number of illegals in our country is 11 million.

I'll pass on this idea based on the shitstorm it would create.

first of all. illegal immigrants are not only Mexican. secondly they do pay taxes. third of all, unless they will all be granted health insurance (being illegal means no health insurance) health care is not free, to anybody. and btw.. have you seen the public schools most poor immigrants attend. goodness. do your research buddy. making immigration legal is not the greatest idea. but those who have worked hard for years. who have broken no laws except for being in a country with out documented proof. then they should be legal. they deserve it. they might as well. they payy taxes work like crazy, and yet we treat them like garbage. tsk tsk tsk

Yeah, so let's make it legal for Mexican's to cross the boarder, have free ride into our public schools, have free health care anytime they want, and not charge them a dime for it. Meanwhile hardworking American taxpaying citizens pay the bill. Yeah, that sounds like a good idea to me.
