Any lecture can be turned into something of interest. The problem is, most kids aren't willing to expand their way of thinking about certain things. I never had a problem with the lectures or with the teachers who lacked the creativity to make them more interesting for those students who lacked their own imagination to do that for themselves. At the same time, maybe I'm just one of those rare students who actually enjoys being in school and learning new things haha...

I always loved lectures. That way, I could just sit and think about sports!

Are you kiddiing? These were the best! You got to sit around and daydream or even take a nap, most of the time the teachers never even cared. Also, I had a lot of funny teachers, so the lectures would always have a few jokes mixed in.

I swear my brain actually dissolves during most lectures- yet we're at school to expand our minds?

I like boring lectures.

Believe it or not, Americans don't have the right to be entertained every waking moment of the day.

This seems like a minor thing to complain about, but I used to complain about boring lectures too back in the day. Kids, when you're stuck in a boring lecture, just daydream and be glad you have relatively few responsbilities instead of trying to pay bills and fend for yourself in the Big Bad World.

its your decision to make a lecture boring, but there are a few exemtions, mostly History that happened over 500 years ago.

I remember in 8th grade my pre-Algebra teacher did this every, single, day! The lectures almost always revolved around his personal life and consisted of Dr. Phil-isms. He was a great teacher but the lectures were sooooo boring!

Again a mixed bag. A good professor makes the material comes alive, no matter what the subject is. A good teacher explains the material clearly and offers practical applications. On the other hand, there are way too many professors out there who ramble on without getting to the point, who don't offer any significant insights. But there are so many good teachers out there that make it all worthwhile.
