This is an actual reinactment of Science class. Teacher: Okay, is we're talking about acids, bases, and neutrals. *Bob*, what would battery ACID fall under? *Bob*: Um...neutral??? *OTher kid*: Uh, dud, he said battery acid!!! Moron! Note: Names change to protect privacy, and almost certain embarrassment

I was always the eager learner, the kid labeled as "Teacher's pet". I found myself highly annoyed, at times, by the kids in the class who'd rather sleep/talk/pass notes etc than pay attention to the teacher. I understand that sometimes it's hard to pay attention, but some of these kids were just a waste of space altogether. Evetually, most of them dropped-out of high school, but I wasn't all that surprised.

While I found them terribly annoying and a complete waste of oxygen, they did make the rest of us look good. about 995 of these people were potheads, and the teachers knew that, so they usually just ignored them and would even make fun of them to the rest of us.

Just more dimwits for me to outperform. UPDATE: You will never escape those people here!

Certainly frustrating, but not as frustrating as realizing that few of them get smarter.

Not frustrating at all. Means you get to set the curve instead of them. :)

I had some teachers who made you become braindead or were even braindead themselves. Most of this applies to 95% of my high school teachers.

Rest assured that for every classmate you think is braindead, at least one other is thinking the same of you.

Braindead classmates are a drag, but get ready for the real world, baby! There is one upside: the braindead make everyone around them look that much smarter by comparison.

Sorry to break the news, but it's no better out in the real world, either. There are so many braindead people that you run into in every day life, it's disheartening sometimes.

As long as they didn't bother me, I wasn't frustrated by them.

Yeah there are plenty of those in any school, those who are just coasting along just to get a diploma. Remember that a degree doesn't matter at all if you didn't get anything out of college. That said, you're going to encounter plenty of braindead people throughout life, from school to the workplace. Don't let it faze you--if you work hard, you've got the leg up.
