Not to be disresepctful to the person who created this list or the subjects chosen to express opinions on this list either, but I'm finding the idea of "Being Constantly Glued to a Plastic Chair for Seven Hours" in a school a difficult idea to fathom as bad. I know for myself personally I would love to go back to High School as a kid when I was growing up as you were constantly being fed information on a variety of topics for FREE!! At school you were at an advantage from those who weren't as you had one of the most sacred things in life and that was simply to make choices. There are some adults or even young people out there (think third world countries where some children are not given the choice to go to school, but have to work) that would LOVE to be given the opportunity to have an education. You my friend are extremely lucky. Being a kid had some minor problems, but compared to being an adult you ain't seen nothing yet. I would rather be "...Glued to a Plastic Chair for Seven Hours" being fed constant educational information than be in a job I hated or sitting at a desk in an office learning nothing, making unncessary calls to companies as a telesales person, gossiping, bitching, back-biting, back-stabbing, badly paid amongst two-faced folk, worrying about bills and my finances.

You know, I like having my classes a bit more spread out now that I am higher up in my educational expirience. To think that I plan on screwing it all up by teaching high schoolers!

Used to drive me absolutely crazy. Unfortunately for me, I had absolutely no interest in what they were teaching in the classroom. I'd sit for hours staring out the window, going off to fantastic places in my imagination. Ultimately, though, I'd have to return to the prosaic reality of that grim classroom and those chairs that we may as well have been chained to.

I rarely got a chair, seeing I had to stand in the corner for most of my classes. Man, I hated university...

I actually never had a problem with this. I might have reason to complain if it were 7 hours STRAIGHT, but I was always on the move between classes, which gave me time to stretch.

It's even worst when you have a weak bladder.

Stop whining and study. . .there are people in this world that would love to sit in that 'plastic chair' in an air-conditioned environment. . .I know it sucks being a kid in America but you have to realize that you live a much better lifestyle than the majority of the people on earth. . .

In high school, yes this was awful. Those chairs are not ergonomic.

Hey, at least at school you get up every hour to walk five minutes to another room to another equally uncomfortable plastic chair. At many work places, you get the same damn chair that's supposed to be comfortable (er, ergonomic), but it's not, no matter how much you adjust those stupid little levers and knobs, and you've got to sit there for three hours, get a half hour to get up and stuff your lunch down your throat, and then go back to sit in that chair for the rest of the day.

When you're in college this changes somewhat. Living on campus and having more flexible schedules opens you up a lot more, as opposed to the monotony of high school--going to every class every day having to see the same people there.
