03/07/2008 | I have been wearing Sansha recitals for two years and find they suit my feet perfectly. They break in well ,and I find that they are great for my narrow feet, are easy to rise in, make my arch look good, great on demi-pointe and offer enough support. The box moulds well, even though not particularly long lasting but they are not the most expensive shoes in the world. For my purposes i.e.buying a new pair of shoes every month or so, they are great value and I have tried more expensive, different brands but have always gone back to Recitals. Somehow I always find a pair to fit with little trouble. I was advised to try Bloch Serenades but spent about three hours in fitting and still wasn't happy with them.

01/28/2005 | I guess you get what you pay for. When I got these shoes they seemed perfectly fine, the box and shank were the right strength and I didn't need to insert the shank(a fiberglass removeable insert that once you wear down you can change to a new one) The idea of the removeable shank was great, but the inside of the box after about 3 classes became bumpy and threw me off my balance. It was a factory flaw, so I tried another pair and the same thing happened. My teacher at first thought it was becuase I was not pulling up enough in my leg, but she had seen me in class and I was always pulled up. After another timely process of sending the shoes back to Sansha, it was another factory flaw. These shoes are also cheaper because more of the process is done on machinery, not by hand which is important in pointe shoes and why their are so many factory flaws.
