Hes OK, but only just that. I don't think he has much of a personality. I don't see him getting chosen much on Iron Chef America either. Wearing shorts in the kitchen? Not professional to me.

It's more of a 2.5 for me on this one. Not that he's a bad chef (he doesn't seem so, at least), and he's very knowledgeable, but his show kind of comes off as kind of bland, the very opposite of the spectrum from Rachel Ray's high-energy style. I'm sure it's great food, but the food itself doesn't make it a good show. Oh, and they could probably do away with their choice of music for the opening and ending of the show, too. Nerve-grating.

I find Mr. Mario very knowledgeable about the cuisine and the region in where the cuisine comes from. However sometimes he comes across as very cocky, especially on Iron Chef America. Sometimes his shows are more of a lesson in geogrophy rather than the culinary cuisine. He seems to be a very good cook none the less Ms. Katina Smith

Mario is just OK. He has the best looking food on the whole network, but is the most annoying chef on the network also...
