Our local yokle news boobs trot this out in some variation every year.  My favorite was one time when flights were cancelled due to inclement weather and the airport was in more turmoil than usual (which, doesn't take much in my burg).  Any way, in all the hubbub and confusion this big pile of unclaimed luggage began to accumulate.  So, wouldn't you know it - here comes this chucklebuns with a mic and camerman and when he goes live he actually starts reading the names and other info on the tags!!!  I mean how talented do you have to be to come up with something that is both boring and could potentially cause massive thefts. I hope he was slapped with a few law suits for that display of brillance.

Actually the main story this year was the lack of crowds at the airports. Apparently people are curtailing their travel plans due to the bad economy.

Indeed. . .this one has got to go.  Also irritating because most information tells me that it's Thanksgiving, not pagan Roman holiday, that gets slightly more travel. . .

They have to send someone to the airport every year to get the shots of travelers waiting, deicing the planes, people standing in line...
