Charity event featuring local celebrity dressed as Santa 4

In Vancouver, they annually combine this story with the kids in hospitals story. The NHL Canucks have a pet charity called Canuck Place Children's Hospice. Every year we get to see the team's flavor of the month player dressing as Santa for the dying kids.

While its a worthy charity, and I have much empathy for the kids involved, the Canucks endless breastbeating about their charity, and the local media's kowtowing to them gets tiresome.

Usually it's one of the newscasters. Once in a while, they exhume the body of someone who appeared in a few episodes of Baretta or  Quincy or something- it's seldom a big name.
