A tragi-comic meditation on a great character from the annals of hockey history - the chubby, slow goaltender of Montreal Canadiens and later Minnesota North Stars fame, Gump Worsely. The Gumper was the least athletic looking man in the history of sport and a funny quote was guaranteed every time he was interviewed. The Winnipeg Band the Weakerthans put his story into a spoken word piece that brings him back to life but loses a star for missing Gump's goofy charm.
