Toro 38361 Power Shovel 7.5 Amp Electric Snow Thrower 5

MAKE SURE YOU GET THE NEWER MODEL 38361. IT IS DIFFERENT THAN THE OLDER MODEL 38360.

I read other reviews and did research before purchasing this product. And I agree with the consensus. If you use it for what it was intended, it really works great.

I'm a veteran of over 50 Wisconsin winters, so I know a little bit about snow. For snow that is 6-8" deep or less, and that isn't of the wet, heavy variety, it cuts through quickly, and gets down to bare pavement easily.

If you need something for wet or deeper snow, get a snowblower. This is not advertised as a substitute for a snowblower. But for light to moderate snow it's fantastic.

I had to laugh. In one of the other reviews I read, a woman and her husband fight over who gets to use it. While I was using it the for first time, my wife asked if she could try it. She ended up finishing the driveway she was having so much fun with it.

As long as your expectations are reasonable, you'll love it. It's durable, works well and is reasonably priced. The performance exceeded what I expected.

Toro 38361 Power Shovel 7.5 Amp Electric Snow Thrower 4

toro 38361 power shovel . Tried this blower 1 st time last week on wet snow about 3 inches deep . The blower worked good threw snow and slush about 15 to 20 feet in front of the blower and spreads it pretty good so youre not really reblowing too much. Cleans down to pavement and even cleaned up ice under the snow . Sounds like glass shattering under the blower but no damage that I could find . You just got to take your time and not ram it into the snow It just doesnt have alot of power if you load it moderatly it works great and really throws the snow . Good for areas hard to get with the big blower. Worth the price and beats the heck out of shoveling

I live in the Chicago area, and have been a confirmed snow shoveler for 17 years. I just didn't want to hassle with a snow blower. Then I saw this cool product, a hybrid between a shovel and a blower. The Toro Power Shovel really works, and will save your time and your back!

The unit throws the snow straight ahead about 20 feet. You use it just like a shovel, but with no lifting and throwing. You can adjust the handle length and the grip position to fit your height, further helping your back. The only drawback is that it must be plugged in, so you may need a pretty long extension cord, or a couple of cords. It has a cord lock system, so you don't need to worry about the extension cord coming unplugged. The unit doesn't take up much space in your garage. It is a little over a foot wide. I have the handle extended all the way (I'm 6'2" tall), and the unit is a little under 5 feet high. There is no assembly required.

I just used it two days ago for the first time, and cleared my driveway in no time. It was about a 2 inch snowfall, with pretty wet snow. Be aware that the manufacturer says that this unit will only handle accumulations of up to 6 inches in one pass. In the Chicago area, it is almost certain that we will have more snow than that a few times per winter, if we're lucky. The instructions say that you just make a couple of passes. It will still be easier and quicker than shoveling. I'll update this review after a REAL Chicago snowstorm!

Highly recommended.

Toro 38361 Power Shovel 7.5 Amp Electric Snow Thrower 4

When my neighbor turned 70, he bought an off-brand electric snow thrower to clear the snow off his deck (our condo association does the driveways). My wife convinced me that I was old enough to get one, too. Amazon offered the Toro for $10.00 more than the neighbor paid and I thought it was a great deal. Sure enough, after the snow fell, we brought out our new toys. I cleared my deck in very little time but he seemed to be struggling. Last week He was out there with a new Toro. I guess it was worth the extra $10.00.
